Ok, hopefully none of our lovely forum women have eyebrows like this, if they do I apologize in advance.

But I've never understood the need to pluck, pluck, pluck until you have these extremely un-natural looking things above your eyes.  A stray hair fine, but some people get carried away.

This woman was on the Today show apologizing for her disgusting lie about her husband dying in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq, which she told just to get her daughter some Hannah Montana tickets.

But I couldn't focus on anything other than the bizzaro eyebrows she's created for herself!  It looks like she shaved them completely off and just used a Sharpie!

Yeah George Carlin hit on that in the other thread. My hubby hates when I pluck my brows or shape them. But I have never drawn anything on that area. I saw a minute of that too this am- gag me! She is PATHETICfurious

What she did was disgusting, and she's not sorry she did it, she's sorry she got caught!  Anyone who would stoop that low for concert tickets is not new to acting that way, she just never expected it would become a national story.

I just read the Carlin thing and I agree, if you got two you're good biggrin.gif

Seriously, I have NEVER looked at a woman and though "ooh, nice eyebrows".  I suppose I'd notice and have a negative reaction if she had a unibrow or big ol' bushy Saddam Hussein eyebrows, but otherwise it's just not something that I think needs to be messed with.

More often than not the only time I do notice them is because they've been over plucked.

So where did it all start?  Am I wrong?  Do most men think thin, neatly manicured eyebrows are sexier than what God gave em?

i think it's a girl thing. i look at womens eyebrows and sometimes think, "i like (or dislike) her eyebrows." depending on a woman's age, having manicured eyebrows makes a difference in how old they look.

Are you insane?! Eyebrows are like everything! They're one of the most important things on a face. Like cheekbones, they shape a face. Here are some of my favorites:


Sela Ward - Arches to die for! Hers are my all-time favorite female eyebrows





She would make such a great vampire! If I were casting a vampire film, she'd be my first choice!

None of those women's eyebrows do anything for me, two of them are kind of scary. They have that constantly arched look that makes you think they're hatching an evil plan of some sort.

Taylor Hanson was blessed with a beautiful eyebrow arch that most girls would die for! Even without shaping - as a little kid - he just has that natural shape. The bitch! laughing.gif

I read yesterday about how that arch gives you a younger look and that maintaining eyebrows thin like that makes your face look younger. But lots of women go overboard. My step daughter fills hers in- she looks like Brooke Shields, my hubby likes that lookbleh

I have SERIOUS eyebrow envy! Especially when I look at the lovely Sela Ward. Or Taylor Hanson for that matter. hmm.gif

I had a make-up artist do my eyebrows once, back in my modeling days. This girl rocked!! It took her about 30 seconds to shape them & they looked AWESOME! I could never ever get them to look that way again. Even trying to copy the pictures as carefully as I can. I think she was magical -- !!

I really don't care what someone's eyebrows look like as long as they're not weird. Personally, I'll pluck a stray hair, but that's about it. When I worked at the spa, I had my eyebrows waxed, and they really didn't look too much different than they do now.

I don't really pay much attention to eyebrows. Once in awhile I get a bug and I will try and shape them a bit more than the casual maintenance but not often.
