I still remember the very first time I listened to FFR.

It was late (about midnight) on a weekend. I was checking out Live365 to see what this "internet radio" stuff was about.

I searched for 80's music and listened to a few different stations. While listening to FFR, JR came on and mentioned the request system so I checked that out. It was a six pack weekend and I requested six of my favorite songs. I was the only one making requests, so they came up very fast. I was having a ball, making requests . . . I think I listened until about 2:00am.

While listening another time soon after, JR was on the air pushing the forum which is when I signed up for the forum.

One of the things I liked the most about it was how it was commercial free radio, but yet, there was still an occasional live DJ. By having JR come on and talk live now and then, it took away that feeling that I was just listening to an awesome CD collection. It had the warmth of live radio without the commercials . . . best of both worlds.
