Tuesday

Although a couple people volunteered to drive me to work, I elected to walk.  My face is a bit cold, and my ear hurts (I left my earmuffs in my car!), but otherwise it wasn't too bad.  I could do it on a regular basis if I had to.  I'd also like to note that neither of the 2 people who elected to give me a ride are here yet.

Can I go back to bed? I feel like a wreck and my face shows it. Still in pain and I am so tired. We also got hit with about 5 inches of snow overnight but had to come to work on time. After getting in the mess we thought that they should have done a 2hr delay because the roads were a mess. Pepsi semi was jackknifed by us, multiple car accidents and the lanes were hard to see.

Well I'm off to finish payroll

Argh! I just remembered that I had a dream with David Boreanaz in it and I can't remember anything about it! cry That is just cruel. I should not even remember that I had a dream in that case!

Good Morning everyone, I took some advil before bed last night, I have the strangest dreams when I do that! Last night I was playing cowboys and indians in my parents basement with Little A and this mexican guy. My mom was having a rumage sale down there and was selling my little plate that I used when I was a kid (which she still has in the cupboard). I was shocked when I saw 5 cents on it. Now back to the Cowboys and Indians, we kept running around all the tables with our chaps and vests and hats on......I think I need a vacation and also stop taking anything before bed.

hello.smile.gif

while I am thrilled the NFC Championship Game goes through Green Bay, and that's a lot more than most of the nation has, the winter BLAHS have hit me. Get home from work. nap, put some dinner together after and be all fuzzy-headed and dull from the nap, the darkness and the cold for the rest of the evening.doh.gif

Good mornin' everyone.

I turned the CBS morning news on and once again, one of the top headline stories is Britney Spears life. Oh yeah, there is that whole war thing going on, but did you know that Britney decided to go to the mall and get lunch rather than going to her court custody hearing? Man, this country is screwed up.

No snow here, but the trees are all covered with white frost . . . its a pretty morning. I wonder if Britney would agree?

Morning all.

Hey Web, maybe we should just elect Britney as President. At least then when she tops the news each night we wouldn't look like such idiots!

It's not just her though, as much as I love the Packers, and I LOVE the Packers, it still makes me laugh when Sunday and Monday newscasts start with 10 minutes of Packers news, then turn to the latest local homocide or big national story.

Good afternoon all.  I had to take the rest of the afternoon off work today......told them I was going home sick, but the truth of the matter is if I'd have stayed at work I would've either quit my job or been fired.  My boss has been the biggest  bonehead for the past two weeks, and this morning I had enough of it.  I was way too close to telling her exactly what I think of her, so my best option was to get the hell out of the office for the rest of the day.

$2800 including labor to put a used engine in my car. Which is about $2000 more than I have.

Yeah I know JD......I don't usually blow up easily, but she was pushing all the wrong buttons today.  So to give myself time to cool off, I had to get out.  I've been home for about an hour now and I'm still pretty ticked off at her.  Time to take a chill pill as my oldest would tell me, haha.  smile

Well it sounds like you made the wise choice, going home instead of risking a blowup. Live to work another day right? smile.gif

I'm certified angry. Passed my anger management class last summer. I learned a lot about me and the people around me. Sort of took me back to the days with the ex wife. She's passive agressive. I'm short fused, at the core. Now, I take the ten second count before I do something stupid. If I get to the point where I gonna blow, I step away... then, if I come back and it's still the same, I need to make a clear plan of what it is that I want to change and how I plan to change it. Weew. That was deep.

Aw man Mz. cry  I really feel for you right now.  Cars are such a pain in the butt sometimes, and they cause a big inconvenience along with costing a lot of money when they don't work the way they're supposed to.

But also very sound advice Squonk.  smile  I've been contemplating a change in jobs for a few weeks now as things at work aren't improving any.  Today is just another incentive for me to get my butt in gear and start actively looking for one.

Well, a coworker has a connection with another mechanic. I talked to him, and he said he could probably do it for a lot less (he has to find the cost of a used engine first). I doubt it'll be $800, but the less I have to borrow, the more likely I'll find someone to borrow it from.

It looks like the Blue Book value would be around $3500 if it were running. But I really don't want to buy a $3500 car right now. If I were to buy a new car, I'd want to buy something better than I've currently got. And I don't want to go back to having a monthly car payment just yet. I'm thinking if I can borrow the money I don't have, with our tax return and the money from the tax office, I can pay that off in a couple months. But, that means no trip to Florida in May to see my grandparents.
