It snowed last night and I forgot to grab my hiking boots, so I just wore my regular shoes in.  My feet just got a little wet, not bad.

Took the tax test last night: 92%!!!

Good job Mz! Not much to say today. My husband made a drs appt finally yesterday. He goes for it this morning. He has been sick since before Christmas! He has got better but the cough just won't go away and it is tearing up his throat. Last night he started to feel worse again. He said he was wondering if he was developing Strep Throat. Yay. I get that and Bronchitis with absolute ease. I hope I don't get sick again. hmm

Ruby, the car is going to cost $2800 to fix. Now I just need to get the money. I applied for a loan, but I haven't heard back yet.

Congrats on the great test score, Mz!

We have an appointment at 1:00pm with our tax lady to get started. I've gotta get busy and get some reports printed out for her.

This year is going to be a mess with all the stuff from my mother-in-law thrown into the mix.

Woo, have you ever thought about having your home checked for mold content? Where he has been sick for so long I know that is one of the side affects of mold. Cold like symptoms and such.

I have thought about it, but I am afraid of what the answer would be. cry
the insulation sucks in the house. In all honesty if someone should buy the house, it would best for them to just buy it for the property and tear the house down and get a modular or something. It doesn't look too bad to the eye but once you get looking into it...........

well my husband is back from the drs. He has got steroids galore. They tried to test for Strep but he kept gagging because his throat is all swollen. The dr finally told him that although the medical community will not label it asthma yet, that what he has is a form of asthma. So every time he gets a respiratory cold, his asthma kicks in. So hopefully he will be feeling better soon. Right now he is because she gave him a breathing treatment. So he is a bit foggy but breathing properly. smile

We met with the tax lady. We still have to wait for a few more 1099's etc to come in, but then all we have to do is drop them off and she can work her magic.

Hi all! Busy day today - I had a process proposal to work out and present which I just finished. The presentation went well, but I'm a bit POed because the person who has a tendency to take credit for my work and ideas did it AGAIN. She's been doing this for a couple years and it's hard to diffuse without making it sound like I'm being petty by pointing out it was actually my idea or work. I don't play politics well. hmm I need a new job.

Mz, I hope everything works out OK with the car and the loan.

I can't stand people that do that G-gal!!!  Too bad there wasn't a way you could ask her in front of others where she got her information from when putting the project together.......or something similar that would fit in with the type of work you do.

Thanks for the empathy. She's clever about this kind of thing...very good when confronted at changing the focus before she's found out. That's OK - I won't have any ties to her work in the near future and I can stop taking  as much of her BS. On the lighter side, I did get compliments for the work they understood I had done and are considering my proposal favorably. We'll see what's next.

Another pal of mine just got a job at GE...maybe I'll start seeing if there's room for me there if I continue to be so frustrated here. I also have a couple jobs I can apply for internally that would be a positive step for me.

Last night I watched "A Man Among Wolves" on the National Geographic Channel. It's about Shaun Ellis, some guy who joined a wolf pack and actually managed to become the pack leader. It was really interesting...even if a little gross at points. I saw that episode and it was really cool! It was neat how when he came back to the pack, he was no longer the alpha male and had to be accepted back.
