A local man is being sued for $17 million and has lost his contract with BP Oil because his 120 gas stations here and around the country were operating under major names like BP, Amoco and Citgo while he was buying unbranded gas and selling it as their product.
The unbranded, cheaper gas has none of the quality controls or detergents and such in it that the major brands do.
I bet any money he owns the local Citgo's. My mechanic was telling me a year ago that they get so many cars with clogged fuel injectors and stuff and that many of them have one thing in common, they use Citgo gas. The topic came up because my car was acting odd after a few months of using Citgo.
