Yeah it was pretty good JD.  Went out for dinner with my dad last night.....he took me for an all you can eat walleye dinner....very tasty.  biggrin  Spent a good part of the day today playing some video games after clearing away yesterday's snow.

How was your weekend?  I read you were having Indian tacos??  Those sound good.  How do you make 'em?

I had a good weekend. I went out to eat and hung our with my sis and brother in law yesterday. The best part was that I got to sleep in today and just have a mellow day. I have been fighting a nasty cold, so it was nice to chill out and just have fun.

Wow, you've had a cold for a while now, haven't you?  Maybe it's more than just a cold.  There's so many things going around right now it makes it hard to really know what you have.  cry  I hope you start feeling a lot better soon!!

Actually, it's a new cold. I did just get over a nasty one, but my office is like an infirmary lately - everybody's cooughing and sneezing all over. hmm Thanks for the well wishes! I'm on the mend, it's just another nasty bug to get over.

holy cow sandy! I think that must be a BIG cultural difference between Michigan and Wisconsin then. You can get all you can eat fish on Fridays (thinking usually just perch maybe??confused.gif)just about anywhere around here. but thats about it. you can get fish obviously other night of the week, but I really doubt all you can eat!!smile.gif

Indian tacos was last weekend!. its like makin tacos, except for shells, we took buiscut batter mix and fried it in conola oil. just top with the cooked seasoned meat, salsa, lettuce. and BAM!
there you go.

Yeah around here during the winter a lot of places have all you can eat fish dinners.....some are perch, some are walleye, depending on where you go.  I'd rather have walleye any day over the perch.  nod.gif

I've never tried biscuit mix for taco shells.  I have used flour tortillas.....stuff them first with cooked taco seasoned meat, hold together with toothpicks, then fry in oil until the tortilla is puffy.  Those are pretty good. smile

I've also made Indian Fried Bread using frozen loaves of bread....thawed, of course.  You pull off pieces of the dough, flatten it somewhat but not too much, then fry it until golden brown.  lick.gif

And if you like the Elephant Ears that fairs/carnivals sell, all you have to do is sprinkle it with some sugar when you take it out of the oil.  smile

I had the Old Club meeting this p.m. Those folks are a nice bunch. It's funny, I made a "club" calendar a year or so ago... it's almost finished with the eighteen months. (jan 2008) They were all wondering where the new one is! So, I guess I'm working on a calendar. What a beautiful day. I did a six mile run this morning, awesome! The meeting was in Hartford. Driving back in to town, the sun was setting. Gorgeous. Spring is coming. Great Lakes Dragaway, Road America and Slinger are all sending me emails/mail. The days are getting a pinch longer everyday, one minute per day, actually.
Hey, Stipe. He was on Austin City Limits with Coldplay last night.
Yuk, we watch Pirates III. What a heap.yawn.gif

hahahaha....this kid Doug....well his folks were OUT THERE back in the 70's. His dad was a horn player in jazz bands, and his ma was a huge Frank Zappa fan. When she said she made elephant ears, I remember thinking they were gonna be real elephant ears. It wasn't so much that I was just 5 yrs old, it was just they might have been that wierd hahahah!!!! lmao.gif

laughing.gif  That's funny because I remember the first time I ever saw a sign for them, I thought they were made from real elephants too.  I think I was around 12 or so before I ever actually tried one because in my mind, all I could picture were elephants with missing ears.  hmm  I wasn't the brightest kid on the block.  ashamed
