That Accent was so befuddled, there was an english accent, a rasta accent and a hindu accent, all rolled into one...If the rest of the Lyric readings are as funny as that one was...great addition to the show...I like hearing the song right after it too
can't keep using the same accent though...gotta be different each time though
When I was in high school, I was in drama. Shocked? One of the games we played was "The Song Insult Game". It was hillarious. You could only use insults that were lyrics from songs. Sometimes we would play where you could only use lines from musical theater songs. You know, like from Big River "Your mysteries are DEEP and WIDE." It was a lot of fun. It made you think. You also had to use hand gestures to get your point across. It was silly. It was fun. It was one of things that made high school great.

There's actually a back-story to that line, J.D. knows it, maybe he can share.
About a year ago we were trying to come up with a variety of bumpers for the station, they say that a good bumper really works (keeps our station in your head even after you've tuned out, so you remember to come back).
We wanted something that would change every so often, not just the same old bumper time after time, so we decided to put a meaningless sentence inbetween the song clips.
We had about 20 in the can, and we'll keep adding more.
No silly smoke here my friend, just devious promotional manuevers
"Freeze-Frame Radio, We're kicking butt & Taking Names"....What better way to emphasize that bumper than to play a Mariah Carey Song followed by Olivia Newton John...Geeez!
Why don't you just Say "Freeze Frame Radio, We're gonna beat you down & Tie you up you mother **&^&^" and then play a selection from the Clay Aiken Christmas Album......
