Want An Easy Free $25? PayPal Alternative

I figure we are all looking for money so I figured I'd let you know about this.
I just signed up with Revolution Money Exchange and received a free $25! This sign up bonus is only good until Feb 29th! If you are interested please PM me with the email address you would want to set up the account with and I will send you an invite. I get credit for the referral so i would appreciate you going through me to sign up.

Here's some info:
Revolution MoneyExchange (RME) does pretty much what its name suggests, that is, money exchange just like PayPal. RME is simply another flavor which allows users to transfer money between one another for FREE. Some are calling it the fee free PayPal.

  • FREE to register for an account
  • FREE to add money from your bank account
  • FREE to send money
  • FREE to receive money
  • FREE to request money
  • FREE to electronically transfer money to your bank account
  • A transaction fee applies for check withdrawals ($2.50 per check), check stop payments ($20 per check), paper statements ($5 per statement), ACH returns ($35 per returned ACH), and overdrafts ($35 per overdraft).
  • Must be at least 18 (some states require you to be 19)
  • Must be from the US
  • Sending money online via MoneyExchange is FREE between MoneyExchange accountholders.
  • Money arrives at the MoneyExchange account faster than you can say, "MoneyExchange is money." (Maybe even faster.)
  • You can send up to $1000 per day, and not to exceed $2500 per calendar month, through MoneyExchange.

This is a good deal even if you don't do many money transfers. I couldn't pass up an easy $25! biggrin

I just got some money sent from RME so hopefully that was from you signing up! Because while I was waiting for yours to approve I ended up sending out 2 more invites. There is a 50 invite with referral bonus per year. I don't know if you saw that.

I'm just a little cautious to give my banking info to anyone until they have a little track record.

With PayPal, business accounts have fees to receive money. The fees are no more than what my merchant account charges me to bill customer's credit cards, so that doesn't really bother me.

There are no fees to send money with PayPal, and unless its changed, there are no fees to receive money into a personal account. I don't have a personal account so I'm not sure if its still that way.

I'm not sticking up for PayPal, they've pulled more than their fair share of stunts, but I still use them because quite a few of the people who owe me money want to use them.

I don't have a lot of experience with PayPal so it was a legit question. I wasn't trying to pressure anyone. I understand.  smile

BTW I just read in their terms of service that the $25 sign up bonus has been extended until March 31, 2008. So you still have time to investigate the site and possibly sign up.

The ease of Paypal is that everyone has it.  And like Web said, there really isn't that many fees.  Maybe once this other service catches on, I'd be more interested.  And I have a pretty sweet deal with Paypal with a debit card that gives me cash back and a money market account.

Paypal has it's downsides too.  It's not FDIC insured, and I've heard horror stories from some people.  I'm cautious with using it.  But this new service doesn't have enough perks for me to think about switching.
