Error message "Run time error 6"

I sure someone can help. I'm trying (trying is the key word) to install Quickbooks Pro Timer on my work computer (The computer uses XP service pack 2, I have lots of memory and ram) the problems is after I install the Timer it first tells me "The quickbooks Pro Timer has detected that was shut down abnormally. please restart windows to try again. If you have already restarted windows click ok" I have done it both ways and got the same results. A Quickbooks Pro Timer: run time error '6' overflow. Now I have tried Quick books support they have not seen that error message. Help

If you have any Ideas

my work email is brent@lei-eng.com

Thanks

yeah...I'm just not that good with computers...I slap the side of the box or slamm the mouse down on the mouse pad to get it to work, If that doesn't help, I'm SOL

No worries. I'm just too cheap to call support at quickbooks. I'll fix it.

Here is a suggestion:   Backup any Quickbook files that you want to keep, if applicable.  Delete the program and related files, and reload QuickBooks.

Thanks for the info but, I have done that. What I think is the problem is that in the registry it's still has some quick books information in there. I do not want to mess with that. I have unistalled quick books and it does say it cleaned up the registry. But I doubt that. anyway thanks the advise.
