Good morning gang.

I'm happy to report FireFly is doing better. The last few days I talked to her she sounded closer to her old self.

My leg is still a pain in the butt, but today I'm taking a new approach of trying to ignore it and get stuff done. I think it needs some stretching out as opposed to pampering. We'll see. My goal is t get one room in my house cleaned every day this week, then next week return to selling some of my belongings.

Last Monday I sold the infamous magic beer machine. Eight hours later my sister had a fit saying she REALLY would have wanted first dibs at buying it.

Guess I gotta run all future sales through her.

At any rate, I'll be here on the recliner, heating my leg much of the day, so I'll be stopping in and out of the forum to make sure there's no monkey business going on. Actually, I guess I'll be checking in to make sure there IS monkey business going on. (I forgot what group I was talking to for a minute).

Come on you know it is the exact opposite! The weather is great and the ocean is irreplaceable! I would love to come and visit y'all. (And teach you to talk that way.) Who knows maybe you'll become a Panthers fan... though they never did it for me! Are you gonna be far from Charlotte? It has lots to offer in the way of big concerts, racing and fun!

Wow, I'd be right about where that star is

I'd be ten to fifteen minutes from Jenn in Lexington.

Right now I'm sitting on my recliner wearing a UNC jacket and cap, but basketball is one of my least favorite sports. I'm sure that could change though.

Of COURSE we'll have to all get together once I'm settled in there. I also will HAVE to buy the MLB and NFL packages on Time Warner Cable every year so I can watch my beloved Brewers and Packers. I know I'm gonna be homesick, but atleast with that I'd feel a little at home.

You're right too, the weather can't be beat. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick of cold and snow. doh

I think Jenn said Charlotte is about 90 minutes away.

But in the end life's a journey right? If a year or two down the road it's just not right for me I can always move home again.

I'll also be working on convincing my sister and mother that North Carolina is a GREAT place to live

And if you have the chance, take it. That's how we ended up in Bloomington. We were in a spot in our lives where we could take up and move. Bloomington sounded good, and was plausible. So we did it. So many people didn't understand, and still don't, but I'm happy here.

You're right MZ.

I've thought a lot about that the last three months and this is probably the best time in my life as far as being in a position to make the move.

My online business didn't take off, I don't really have the desire to build the commercial cleaning business again, I'm at a point in my life where I just want a steady paycheck and a career instead of being on-call 24/7 and worrying about if I'm doing enough to grow the business.

I figure if I'm embarking on job/career I can do that anywhere. The added bonus of having someone I love in NC makes it all the more logical.

Right now I've got the financial ability to make this move and have a good buffer to take time to find the right job in NC. It just all makes sense that if I'm ever going to try this, this is the time.

Sorry I've not been around much today folks.

I am just about done updating server softwares. One more stressful update to run but I'm now going to wait until the boy gets out of school and do it from home. That way, if there is trouble I won't have leave something hanging while I get him home.

I will be glad to have all this done. These are updates that can knock a server completely offline if they don't go just right. So far, they've all gone well, but its still really stressful to give it that "do it" command and watch to see what happens.

Glad to see you're in a much better frame of mind now JR!! As G-gal said, shaking your life up every now and then keeps the regrets away later, and it sounds like you have a plan on how to go about doing that. smile

Not much new with me lately. Just waiting patiently to be on spring break, which isn't until March 31st through April 4th. cry

For some reason the school district decided this year to move spring break away from Easter, which ticked off a lot of people when they found this out because most of them are people that went to Floriday or such places......Good Friday or the Thursday night before gave them additional travel time. There have been many, many complaints filed with the school board over this decision; now they're waiting to see if the board will keep this policy next year or revert back.

Anyway, I get a small break tomorrow. It's a half day for the schools, so I don't have to be to work until 11:30.

Tuesday. Hmm. Lame. Wednesday is going to be a good day... I can feel it. Thursday, I'm doing a road trip to IL to pick up the bumper and stainless steel stuff off the Oldsmobile. Then, I have to find someone that can turn it around fast. Spring is coming. I'd like to drive the car. If all else fails, I have a Toyota convertible.

I'd been doing my shows from home for a while now, so our computers are all synched up that way. I think the station might be off the air 3 days during Rigg's move, but yea it should be back up after that. smile
