JR's "another thousand posts" thread got me thinking. I know its dangerous when that happens, but sometimes I can't help it.
What if?
What if JR had not started FFR?
We wouldn't have all these great songs at our fingertips to request when we feel like it.
He would not have started this forum.
Most of us would not know each other and most likely would never have met at all.
I wouldn't know any of you.
Think about that for a minute . . . imagine if this forum had never started. Except for those of you who already knew each other, you likely wouldn't know anyone else here.
How much different would your daily routine be?
How much different would your list of friends be?
Many times, I've thought and read comments about how glad I am that we've have this forum to build friendships, and that is true. But, when you trace back anything related to us all, it allgoes back to JR and that moment in time when he decided to chase his dream, and start a new hobby.
Everything we know as FFR, came from that moment he decided to go for it.
How much different would your life be if it were not for that one moment in time and that one decision made by one person?
I was gonna be a smartazz and say that I would be a more productive employee had I not stumbled upon this place- but now that I think about it- would I really? Sometimes I don't feel like doing anything, but after a few comments from you guys and my frame of mind may change and I start working better. I would be listening to music whether FFR existed or not, but there is nothing better out there. I would probably spend more time searching for something because my ears were not happy.
Most of my friends live in my computer, so I suppose I would be quite lonely without this place.
Thank you JR!

I've thought about this too. FFR has impacted my life so much. I've grown a lot as a person in the past 3 years, but I've also grown professionally, and I can attribute parts of both to FFR.
Here's a kiss for ya! (I figured you'd appreciate hers more than mine)

Indeed. It was one of those life-time dreams to be a dj. Not just a canned voice on the radio, not stuck to a Clear-Channel playlist. But to be a real old-school dj. Can't thank him enough for the privelege of that, or for getting to know you friends.
