Two Chicagoans arrested in heroin deal

Two Chicagoans remain in custody today after fleeing from Milwaukee police during a chase yesterday that ended with a crash and the confiscation of an estimated $86,000 worth of heroin.

Police began to pursue the suspects as part of an investigation into a large-scale drug transaction with a north side gang member from Milwaukee. The car chase came about 4:30 p.m. and traveled the areas along Van Buren St., Brady St. and Prospect Ave.

The pursuit resulted in a crash that caused damage to at least three private vehicles, but there were no injuries to officers or citizens, police said.

The case remains under investigation.
