It's only Wednesday

I feel like it should be Friday.

Got a lot to do today, and my boss is leaving at 10 for the rest of the week.  So that either means I'll be swamped with all her people calling me, or I'll get a repreve and get some work done.

I hope you get a reprieve Mz!
Ah well I am still not caught up so may be busy again. The talk between my hubby and the girl went well last night. It appears that her aunt blabbed to her and her mom about what my husband told them because he said that he felt like he walked into the twilight zone last night. His ex has not even been looking at us lately let alone speaking to us. He said that she went out of her way to be nice to him when he came to the house. When he got to the restaurant with the girl she said so what's up, I hear that you were talking to my aunt and uncle. So they talked some stuff out and hopefully we will see a change for the better. I'm sure she went home and told her Mom what was said so not sure how she will take stuff but we shall see.

Good morning all.

Don't feel bad Woo.  I like catching up on your day in the daily thread.  Mine tend to be longer too.

Honestly, right now this is practicaly the only thread I have been reading because I've been so busy, so everyone should feel free to rip on me in the other threads, I'll never see it biggrin.gif

Lunch with Grandma and my Aunt was cancelled yesterday because Grandma had a rough night.  So we're going today at 11.  My social calendar has filled up fast ever since I announced I was moving.  I feel like I'm on a farewell tour.

This evening a woman is coming to possibly buy my 36" TV & Stand.  7 years ago that darn thing ran me $999 for the TV and $99 for the stand.  Right now the best offer I'm getting on Craigs list is $225 for the pair and I think she'll try to talk me down to $200 as everyone else has.

Plasma's and LCD's have absolutely killed the value of tube televisions hmm.gif  It sucks that sellng my TV will just barely cover two months of CABLE!  angered.gif

Everyone have a great day!

Happy Wednesday all.  Home from work now, waiting to go pick up my youngest daughter from school.  She has to do a report on John Lennon and his influence on music for her Lit. class.  You'd think there's all kinds of info out there about this, but you'd be wrong!!  We have been searching for 3 days and so far haven't come up with hardly anything. cry  Went to the library yesterday looking for books, but again turned up nothing about how he influenced music.  I have the person that works at the Reference Desk digging a little deeper....he said he'd call me if he finds anything.  The only conclusive information we have found pertains to The Beatles and their influence on music recording.  I just can't believe there is nothing out there on Lennon's influence on music.  Aside from going through all of my cds and reading the linear notes, I'm afraid we aren't going to find much more information.  This project is turning out to be a lot tougher than I first thought it would be.  hmm

Wow Sandy, that does surprise me. I would think Lennon had been covered from every possible angle extensively!

That's what I thought too JR!  I'm actually amazed that there hasn't been a book or anything done about this. The man was a brilliant songwriter and artist; surely he had a great influence on music, but there's nothing out there about it.  We're stumped now and don't know how she is going to write a thesis paper on this subject with the little information that we did manage to find.  I'm afraid it's not going to be a very good paper.

Ghost, I know IU does a lot of classes on that sort of thing. I know in the past they've had courses on the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. Maybe the professor there might be able to point you in a purely Lennon direction: http://www.music.indiana.edu/department/generalstudies/courses.shtml

Hey, it looks like they're running a Frank Zappa course right now!

Hello all. I have been missing from here for a little while. I am glad to have a second to sit down and write something!

I probably won't be on here for the next week. I am leaving for Disney World Friday morning and I still haven't packed yet. That will be my job for the next two days.

We are supposed to be getting storms here in the next couple of hours. I  LOVE thunderstorms!clap.gif

I hope that everyone is doing well. Oh! Thanks Web for pointing out that Riggs missed one of my threads the other daywink

Have fun Firefly! I really wish we could go to Universal Studios. I have been there a long time ago, but my husband has never been.
