Lunch, Weather, Visa/Mastercard

I've got some roast beef sammich meat and fruit that I'll be eating soon.

Its sunny and 49.

I have a slight preference to VISA, but my credit cards are all MasterCard. Citibank offers a business MasterCard that works with QuickBooks so I went with the MasterCard because of that. Our personal card is a MasterCard too, but I think its just because that happened to be the low interest offer on the table when we decided to switch and get out from under those MBNA crooks.

I had bowtie pasta with sun dried tomatoes and broccoli.

At this exact moment, it's 44 and cloudy. About 5 minutes ago it was freezing and sleeting.

I'm avoiding credit cards. I do have 2 debit cards, one has a Visa logo, the other is Mastercard. I don't know if it makes a difference.

Oh I love it! Little meatballs, spinach, onion in something like a chicken broth. It's a very satisfying lunch without being too unhealthy. smile

Hmm.

Turkey Sandwich with some mayo and mustard.  A side of cottage cheese.

42 degrees and sunny.

I prefer Visa, but do have one mastercard.  I like the designs of my cards.  I have one with a flag background, one with a bald eagle background, and one with a Milwaukee Brewers background.

Capitol One offers those design your own cards now.  I would love to get one with my dog on it smile.gif

Hm.  I wonder where they got the "Wedding" idea in the name from?

Ingredients

Wedding soup consists of green vegetables (usually endive and escarole or cabbage, lettuce, kale, and/or spinach) and meats (usually meatballs and/or sausage) in a clear chicken-based broth. Wedding soup sometimes contains pasta, noodles, cavatelli, lentils, or shredded chicken.

Origin

The term "wedding soup" is a mistranslation of the Italian language, minestra maritata, which is a reference to the fact that green vegetables and meats go well together. Some form of minestra maritata was long popular in Toledo before pasta became an affordable commodity to most Spaniards, though the modern wedding soup is quite a bit lighter than the old Spanish form, which contained quite a few more meats than just the meatballs of modern Hispanic-American versions.

I think I had that soup or something similar at the last wedding I attended. It was an Italian wedding.

lunch- leftover ham, pineapple and some sweet pickles, water
weather- blustery and lightly snowing 34 out
cc- I had them all! cry That's one of the many reasons I am in debt. My 1st one was a MC. I now don't carry anything but my debit. My husband has a Visa through one of our banks.
