and I had a hard time sleeping and then got up early. My husband had to get up and go pick up the girl. He is taking her to a Horse Expo. She is joining the equestrian team in Aug. She has to change high schools to do that. She refuses to ride for her current school well because they are a bunch of rich snobs. She wouldn't be able to truly compete.

Yesterday it was 76 degrees here and tons of sunshine. clap.gif This morning I wake to up to 47 for the high and rainhmm Gotta love NC weather.

Tonight I plan on watching the UNC Tarheels basketball game. We are in the Elite 8! Riggs told me that the Wisconsin Badgers lost  last night to one of NC's basketball teams, Davidson College. jawdrop.gif They are a tiny little private college that has just been blowing everybody away!

Happy Saturday!

Hey, I see Ultimo here . . . its good to see him here on a weekend. smile.gif

Its 35 now with an expected high of 57.

Today is food co-op pick up day. We'll go get our box of food and order for next month.

My repaired server made its way back to Phoenix and it is back up and running. I moved a couple websites over to it and it seems to be running fine.

Nothing special planned here today, should be a pretty normal weekend.

Woo, what's at the horse expo? Is she buying a horse? That's so cool that she can join an equestrian team. My high school had a lot of stuff that most schools don't have, but we didn't have that!

The boy is happy.

He's loved those hoppy balls since he was little. You know, those big balls with the handle that you sit on and bounce around? He's outgrown all the ones we can find around here so I found a place on the internet that sells them for bigger kids. It came in the mail this morning and he's bouncing all over the house on it.

They make adult sizes too. smile.gif

He said something about how being a bigger kid means bigger balls. Mrs Web said "that's right . . . bigger kids have bigger balls."

No she is not buying a horse. She is borrowing someone's when the team starts. Her parents can't afford a horse- lol I know they were trying to get there to see the 11am show. Apparently it's something to do with barrel racing which is something she will be doing. I am not into horses so am really clueless. My husband told me not to worry about attending this with them and that I could just be supportive when the team starts- lol

Happy Saturday to you all! Once again it is Sunday morning here and I have been at work since 5.30am again...it's 7.45am Australian time now!

Haven't been around for a while but I have been having the time of my life! Wet season is over though it is raining today and the tourists are starting to come back in! Yay!!! New faces in town again to end months of seeing the same 1000 faces in town every week!

Had a bit of sadness though when one of the visitors last Monday who didn't really know what lies beneath the surface of our waters here, jumped into the water off a fishing trawler to retrieve a tarpaulin, ended up going through the propellar and was never seen again! His body has not been found since. We have far too many crocodiles and sharks where he jumped in so the thought of what happened to him is pretty gruesome! I was having a beer with the young man only the day before!! cry.gif

But apart from that all is going very well for me, and I couldn't be happier! smile.gif

Good Early Evening, I spent most of the day cleaning house and doing laundry so AC and I could do something fun tomorrow when she's off work. (Sparky + Housework = brownie points) wink.gif

Then Little A and I went and got a happy meal and were on our way to the toy store when she fell asleep. So I drove around a bit, stopped and got a take and bake pizza for sup...er a dinner (so AC doesn't have to cook) wink.gif then came home to watch Scoooooby Dooooby Doo!

Wow, got back to the hotel at 2:30am. Dancing at the Mad Planet for 5 hours! bumped in to a couple of past co-workers. (interesting) Shot pool with a bunch of punks. Won a couple, lost a couple. A short walk along the river and a drink of strong coffee from Mochas after breakfast. Still draggin'.yawn
