Cable guy was here. I got a new modem. I got a signal amplifier installed in the basement. The lines were all checked. Problem still exists.
Then he told me he's had two other guys within a few blocks that run stations having the same issue. They haven't fixed those either.
Something is wrong somewhere in the wiring in the neighborhood, and basically Time Warner isn't going to give a crap for such a small minority that uses it as a constant upload service.
SO, JD can do his Sunday shows. But if the problem doesn't correct itself by April 9'th we will be completely off the air until May 18'th or so.
I'm going to ask Jennifer to test her connection to see if the cable works in NC (there's no reason it shouldn't as it worked here for years). Assuming it does then we'll just have that one month or so off the air.
Now, as for the owners and their investments.
Two owners, SG & JD were going to be due again on April 27'th. Obviously don't make a new payment.
Once we're back up and running you'd be credited with about 30 or so days free before you needed to make payment again.
LadyStrange is a monthly subscription. You may want to cancel that subscription and restart it once we're back on the air.
Everyone else is on a longer subscription or one time payment. There's nothing I can really do for you other than to say obviously if we can't get back on the air in late May you'll need to cancel your subscriptions and I will work on refunding the prorated amount that you paid for but never listened to.
Hopefully though we'll just get through this and there won't be a problem in the new location.
If I weren't moving to NC I really think this would have been the end of Freeze-Frame Radio. Maybe that's a sign the move is the right thing to do!
I'll update you once Jenn runs the test and we see if she can broadcast.
I'm feeling weak... no longer have power over internet sounds.... Being an "owner" is habit forming. Turn computer on, log in, request, enjoy. It would be nice to have FFR back on line. JD, have you tried?

Nope, not the worst possible news. We've gone without before, and we know it should be coming back, so it's really not that bad.
Personally, I know I'm an owner, and when owning a business, even just a little bit, I know you lose money. I don't remember how I signed up, but in any case, I don't expect any sort of refund.
Hey JR, I echo Web. For me it's an investment in fun. I'm still having fun. Besides, it's not like you're shutting down and moving out of state or anything like that.
MZ beat me to it. I was gonna say "not the worst possible news" too. Glad you're not giving it up for good.
Besides, maybe this'll give you some more time to prepare for moving. I'm sure you have TONS to do!
