Milwaukee Bonecrushers

Milwaukee Bonecrushers

Youve waited long enough, Milwaukee.
Professional indoor football is back.

The Milwaukee Bonecrushers, the Continental Indoor Football Leagues newest expansion team, will be kicking off their inaugural season in March 2008 at the U.S. Cellular Arena. Led by their head coach, Packer great and fan favorite Gilbert Brown, The Bonecrushers will provide a brand-new football experience that puts fans closer to the action than ever before. Hits wont be seen; they will be felt. The games wont be watched; they will be experienced. No Mercy. No Apologies. Only Football.

I'm intrigued...sounds fun...smile

Yeah, I like it too. The thing that sucks is that to buy tickets for an individual game, you have to go through Ticketmaster unless you're buying for a group of 20 or more. I hate the convenience fees Ticketmaster socks you with.

Yep, they're a bunch of bloodsuckers when it comes to their fees.  I always hated them for that.

I know. I mean, they sock you for $4 each for Boncrusher tix...it's NOT a high demand sport. Then there's a $2.50 per ticket facilities charge. Dummies - they'll never keep this extension alive if they don't work harder at building a fan base.

That's what happens here anytime someone tries to get something new going.  By the time our city tacks on all the fees, then Ticketmaster gets involved, the new endeavor is killed long before it ever really gets a chance to get going.  Makes me sick.  furious

thats just it. its like the price of buying 3 tickets and only getting two with all the extra charges. I am really glad I have seen pretty much every band I have ever wanted to now. Got that in while it was still relatively reasonable. furious.gif

I hear ya on that JD!! It's why I hope LiveNation can really step in and put some competition out there for Ticketmaster!! Maybe they can undercut them on the fees. That'd be nice!

a few times I've taken risks and gone to events without tickets. try and feel out how the scalpers are doing, usually got the ticket for face value, if not less. But I will only do that for things where its like "aw that would be cool to see, but I aint gonna pay that, and don't really mind if I don't see that." Like Eric Clapton. got in for $25 in seats that were going for $50....

I wouldn't be too surprised. They only have 6 home games and right now, for the game in 1 week, they still haven't sold out the prime seats. Not a good start if you ask me.

Saginaw Sting vs. Milwaukee Bonecrushers

Dow Event Center , Saginaw, MI

I guess the idea of indoor football is catching on here too.  I had no idea we even had a team for this until I got a ticket alert in my email this morning.

Brown, other leaders quit Bonecrushers

In a major shakeup, Gilbert Brown, the former Green Bay Packers lineman and now head coach of the Milwaukee Bonecrushers, has resigned.

Chris Kokalis, the franchise's general manager; defensive coordinator Gene Rhodes Jr.; and offensive coordinator Jeff Hermann also announced their resignations, it was announced today.

The mass resignations apparently came because of what were called "irreconcilable differences" with the team's ownership group.

The Bonecrushers are 0-3 in their inaugural season in the 15-team Continental Indoor Football League.

In a joint statement, Kokalis and Brown said: "We're grateful for the opportunity to work with the Bonecrushers and help bring indoor football back to Milwaukee. The team was making progress. But we have irreconcilable differences with the ownership group of the Bonecrushers and feel it is best to move in a new direction. We wish the Bonecrushers continued success in their pursuit of a CIFL championship, and encourage football fans in southeastern Wisconsin to support this young, exciting team."

The Bonecrushers play at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
