Opening Day

It's Opening Day for the Brewers and I just had to share my shock. When I left for work at 8:20 this morning Brewers fans were already parking on my street! The game is at 1:05 and they were ready to party! Can you believe it? weirdfacelaughing.gif

That's some die hard fans!  Eight in the morning is a little too early for me to begin partying. laughing.gif

I see our Tigers are off to a great start.  They're 0-3 right now.  hmm

You haven't even seen it in full force JD. Not what I'd reccommend for the route home later today...drunken fans will just be weaving their way home about the time you'd be leaving work. no.gif

I'm heading SW out of Beertown after work... 3-3:30pm should be interesting.
I keep on saying that the Sheriff could make his wage in tickets for drunk driving, disorderly conduct, etc.
I can't remember a Friday opener, nice weather... in a long time.smile.gif

Welcome back Spring!

Play Ball!

While I did not attend the Phillies home opener this year (wet and cold again), it is always a zoo down in the stadium complex area. But thankfully, that is really the only thing in that area.

Our Phillies walked away with their first win yesterday. 1-2 to start the year. I say they go 160-2.

I will support and root for the Brewers, as long as they aren't playing my Phillies or in the Phillies way of making the postseason at the end of the year. That is the same way I root for the Packers.

Sure. Why not? Do you think I am being a bit excessive? I was hoping for 161-1, but I knew that wouldn't happen. And the only loss would have been the opening day loss. Mainly because I can not remember the last time the Phillies won a home opener. Or any season opener.

Sure. But the problem goes like this: Your pitcher pitches a gorgeous game. He only makes one mistake. A pitch that maybe he left a bit up too much and the guy suddenly has a solo shot. The wind keeps balls that normally would be out of the park on any given day, even cold ones, in the park. Phillies lose 1-0. Bummer. You waste one of your best pitchers great performances because you can't get him two runs. Blah. It could be a feast or famine kind of year. Monday = 6 runs. Wednesday = 0 runs. Thursday = 8 runs. I wonder what tonight's game will bring. I have to watch a hockey and baseball game tonight. Both start at 7pm. I think there is a basketball game on too.

Go Phillies! Go Flyers! Go Sixers!
