Monday. Hmm. Work. Hmm.

An interesting bit of information made to me this a.m.

A local radio station was talking about the future (or end of) the internet. The guy that originally developed the internet has a new thing... "The Grid"

I didn't check the London Times, because I'm working but, I did find this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grid_computing

The morning show host said they (grid creator) expect speeds up to 10,000 times faster than the present internet!

We could hear JD's future shows today!!confused.gif

Now, a separate post.

I didn't either Mz. This day has not started out well and I am in bit of a mood. I hope to work through it but I make no promises.

Ally, you seem to be in a pretty good mood for someone turnin' 30 today.

Yay, my new laptop battery is "Out for delivery" on FedEx. This laptop is two years old now and the battery will only last about an hour now.

I left a signed sticky note on the door at home so maybe FedEx will leave it. They are usually in town over the noon hour so hopefully they will come while I'm home for lunch. I'm so excited!

Hey all.  I returned back to work today....what a long 6 hour day it was.  I didn't sleep well last night either; was awake until 3 then up at 6 with the alarm. hmm  I'm happy to be at home now.  Oh, and it's just gorgeous outside today....sunny witha slight breeze and 68 right now!  I opened a couple of windows again when I got home.  smile

Timing worked out good. FedEx was there while Mrs Web was home for lunch. I got my new battery in and its charging up as I type this. It is an extended capacity battery. It should last 4-5 hours on a full charge now.

We also had a guy there today power raking and picking up the dead stuff off our lawn over lunch. He charged us $50 to do that. A few years ago, I rented the power rake and did it myself. The rental was $40 and I spent about five hours bagging up the trash with my mower. I could go about 30 feet and the bag would be full and have to be dumped. So, to save $10.00 for five hours work, I think I'll let the professional do it for me.
