Here early. I have a crack in my windshield and they are gonna come fix it from 8-12. Leaving a bit early for E's last vacation bible school of the school year.

I had a chip in my windshield, and they came to my work to fix it too. But you can still see where the chip was.

I gotta work at the tax office tonight and tomorrow, but then I'm done for the year!!! I'm actually a bit nervous. It'll be really busy, and I'm at the main branch, and these returns are usually more challenging, and most of these returns will be people who have to pay.

Otherwise, I'm good. It's sunny and 58 right now, and is supposed to get to 72 today. It is supposed to storm again this afternoon, though, and be cold this weekend.

Oh I am getting a whole new windshield, my crack is more like a long crack that is about 8 inches across.

Good luck tonight and tomorrow. Good for you that you stuck with it!

Wow, they're coming to your work to replace the whole windshield? That's impressive.

I'm not sure if I'm going to do it next year or not, but I didn't want to quit early just in case I do decide to do it next year. I could've stopped early without any repercussions, but then next year I probably wouldn't be as high in the preferred list and would be scheduled at the main office more. I like the little office closer to my house better. I'll do it again next year if I haven't found any other sort of supplemental income. I like having that little extra play money to use for things I want instead of things I need (or both, like a vacation).

But I can't say I necessarily like it. It's not bad, and certainly a lot better than other part time jobs, but it's just not my thing. I'm hoping I can get more involved with the company I helped with at Startup Weekend, or by teaching tai chi for that extra income instead. But, it could be a couple years before either of those come to fruition, so I may be doing taxes again next year.

Yay! It's Friday! Just got to work as I had to take care of something at 8 am today before coming in. The Red Wings won their playoff game last night after making me sweat for a bit! evileye

It's blah outside so the day will probably drag. It's all cloudy and 45 with storms rolling in.

We are getting mostly rain and sleet here and the streets are sloppy but a co-worker that lives 8 miles out got over a foot of snow last night.

Good morning all! It's super foggy today - weather is weird around here lately, but at least it isn't snow! I just finished two day-long meetings with my deparmtnet in Oconomowoc and I'm looking forward to being in the office to wrap up the week. that's kinda sick, isn't it? I went from 0 to SWAMPED at work yesterday in the course of 2 hours. It will be a busy day, and I entirely picture going in tomorrow.

In SC, if you have full coverage insurance, then windshield replacement is free. There are mobile services companies everywhere. They get paid good I am sure from the insurance company. My hubby needs a new windshield too.

It's the same here Ruby, with my insurance company, windshield repairs are free. And I knew they would come to your work to repair it, but I didn't know they would come if they were going to replace it. That's awesome, I wish more car repair places worked that way.

Nephew update:
My sister and him went to court yesterday and they didn't throw his butt in jail! furious
She is even now mad about this. She thinks the judge was showing her pity and not him. He has AA meetings every day and more community service. There are fees and still has the teether which also has a fee. The judge told him that if she saw him again that he would get the maximum sentence to whatever the violation was. My sister told him that she is not paying for anything and that he better go find himself a new job. he left his last one because he got mad that they cut his hours. She said that she would drive him to where he needed to be only. He does not have a license.
He has not learned anything. He already did not come home last night and the teether modem isn't even hooked up. They unhooked in case they had to turn it back in if they sentenced him to jail.

I can't wait for this to be over. I love him but he is so stupid! furious

Howdy folks.

Home with the boy today and looking out the window at the snow. Its pretty much quit snowing now, just old snow blowing around. I don't know how much we've officially gotten and I don't want to know bad enough to go out and see. Its supposed to be 50 tomorrow so I'll probably just plan on letting this stuff melt rather than trying to move it.

I had a windshield replaced a couple years ago too. A guy came and did it right here in the driveway. Its a cool service.

I have a 33 year old cousin that still lives with his mom and dad, he smokes their cigarettes watches their tv and eats their food. He was in and out of trouble his whole life like this. Now he is just content to waste his life away doing nothing. And they let him that's what I don't understand! They were never really parents to him when he was growing up, letting him run wild at 5 years old and not caring when he came home at night etc. My aunt and uncle adopted their grandson after his mom died in a car accident. My uncle made the comment of maybe we can do it right this time. no.gif

Morning all.

I've had about a 10 inch crack in my windshield for the last four years hmm.gif I have only collision coverage, so they won't fix my crack no.gif

I think this STOOOOOOPID cold is finally starting to lose it's grip on me. I still have a sore throat and a little rattle in my chest, but overall I've improved a lot.

I hope e'body has a great day smile.gif

Sorry to hear about everyone's cracks today....if you take finger nail polish and put it on your crack it shouldn't spread anymore.

I forgot to add that this morning change came up missing in my brother-in-law's truck. They already have a lock on their bedroom door because of his previous theft. no.gif

Anna is going to Kentucky with her dad today, so I will have the house to myself. Sometimes that is good and sometimes that is bad. It can be too quiet when she is gone.

The weather is beautiful here! We are supposed to get thunderstorms tomorrow. I will work out in the yard a bit this evening.
