Happy Saturday smile.gif

Sorry you're not feeling good, Pip. cry.gif

Good luck with the playhouse move, Spark. Was I supposed to come help with that?

Sorry you gotta work, JD. Hopefully everything will fall in place and it will go well so you can get back out of there soon.

Morning all.

How quickly the weather can change huh? A week of 60's, 70's and even 80's all comes to a crashing halt. It's 37 degrees today hmm.gif

I'm afraid I have to face the reality that my body ain't gonna cure itself of this scratchy throat and goofy voice. It's been almost three weeks and while all my cold symptoms are gone, the throat and voice remain. Monday I'll have to go get some antibiotics hmm.gif I remember in my younger days when my body could fight off any infection. I went from age 17 to 36 without EVER getting any antibiotics. Now it seems every year I get one illness that I can't beat on my own hmm.gif

Only TWO WEEKS until the big move. I'm starting to get a little nervous about it now. Such a LOOOOOOOOOONG way away from almost everyone I love cry.gif Oye!

Tonight I got a big UNO party, then tomorrow I can start breaking down my kitchen table. After tonight everything starts moving faster. Next weekend and the one after that I have a massive rummage sale planned. By the end of this week I should be couchless and TV less. I'll just be sitting on a box in the center of my living room wondering where the hell all my stuff went smile.gif

I hope everyone has a GREAAAAAAAAT day!

I have one unhappy kid right now.

He's been playing games on nick.com that last few days and having a good time with them. He wanted me to get him set up to play this morning.

That computer (my older laptop) is on a little desk in the kitchen, but it is also exactly opposite our bed on the other side of the wall. Mrs Web is still not feeling well and tired so she was still in bed. I told him that he could play after mom got up. He argued, grunted and complained, but I thought he was accepting that.

Apparently after thinking about it some more, he decided the best solution to his problem of having to wait would be to just go wake up mom . . . which he did.

Now he gets no computer all day today.

He's quite mad at me right now.

I feel really bad about that.

Ok, I'm over it.

Waking mama bear up on her day off is never a good idea no.gif

Good morning guys.  Yesterday it was 83 degrees and right now it's 43.  I feel asleep with all of the windows open and woke up around 5:00 freezing to death.  hmm

JR,  I think the next two weeks will be trying for you because each day that passes brings you one day closer to leaving home.  However, once you're on the road heading to North Carolina, I think you'll be filled with excitement....a new place to live in, prospects of a new job (did you get the job yet??), and being in the same town as Jennifer will really help ease the torn feelings you're experiencing right now.  You're really not moving that far away from your family, even though it seems like you are....you can be back home in a 24 hour drive if you really needed to be there for some reason.   And once you're in NC, if you experience home sickness, the telephone is a great cure for that.  I know you're worried/concerned about your mom, but being a mom myself, I think I know how she feels about this.....she only wants you to be happy.

You're right Ghost. She's sad about my leaving, but she really is completely supportive of the move.

It's only temporary, so it will be alright. smile.gif

I had the same experience last night, went to bed with my window wide open, woke up this morning shivering. It took me 30 minutes to get up the gusto to get out from under the covers to go shut the window.

Well we had a change of plans, after much thought and (no gumph) I decided it would be easier to spend the $299.00 at Sam's Club and buy her a new playhouse versus getting 8 guys together, go to the guy's house and saw through 6 4x4's (which are cemented in and he wanted ME to dig all the posts out too) then carry it through the back yard, over a chain link fence and then out to the street. Not to mention he wanted a $100.00 deposit just in case I messed his yard, fence or pink flamingos up. When you look at all the work involved FREE playhouse didn't sound so free anymore. hmm

Sounds like you just made a very wise decision Sparky!!  smile  Those wooden ones are a bugger to move.  When we got rid of the one my girls had, there were 10 guys here to pick it up and it still took them most of the day to get it out of our yard.

Home from dishwasher shopping. We've got one on order. We found one we liked but they didn't have a white one so they are going to get us one.

In just a bit, it will be time to go get the food pack.

The thing we're in is called "Prairieland Foods". We've compared what all we get and we are indeed saving money each month. Its a mixture of mostly frozen meats and fresh vegetables. Last month, we had a 5 lb bag of potatoes that were pretty soft that we didn't use. I think so far that is the only "bad" thing we've gotten.

They require that you do at least two hours community service a month. The stuff I do at church qualifies us for that.

For April, we are getting a double meat pack which is:

2bls Lean Country Brats
2lbs Pulled Beef in BBQ Sauce
2lbs Lean Turkey Breakfast Sausage
2bs Flame Broiled Beef Steak
4lbs Split Chicken Breasts
2lbs Asian Style Turkey Strips

Then, there will be 6-8 fruit & vegetable items. You don't know what you are getting until you get there on those

Then, we also got a special burger pack which is 5lbs (15 patties) of individually wrapped sirloin burgers. We've had those in another pack and they are nice, big patties.

We're getting all of that for $47.00 plus the community service.

Here's what we have to chose from for May. I will pick up April's box now and order for May at the same time:

I'm back. The truck was late, then there was a mixup in distributing the food in to individual boxes so they had to go back and check everyone's order again.

Anyway, this is what all we got for $47.00

Frozen:
2bls Lean Country Brats
2lbs Pulled Beef in BBQ Sauce
2lbs Lean Turkey Breakfast Sausage
2bs Flame Broiled Beef Steak
4lbs Split Chicken Breasts
2lbs Asian Style Turkey Strips
5lbs of beef patties
1 Bannana Cream Pie (bonus)

Fresh:
1 head of lettuce
2 grape fruits
5 oranges
4 apples
2 green peppers
3lbs red potatoes

Everything looks really nice. One apple has a dark spot on it but everything else looks fresh and good.

Wow, you're getting quite a bit of meat for that price, Web!  I wonder if we have anything here similar to this.  I'll have to do some checking around and find out.

Yeah, my wife is unpacking it she said that just the chicken alone would probably be about $16.00 at the grocery store.

Oh at least that in the grocery store.  The other day, I was looking at a package of boneless chicken breasts......5 small ones in the pkg. were $11.95.....and I mean these things were small!!!  They stayed in the meat case, ha.

Happy Saturday everyone! Tis Sunday here...now 10.45am and I have been at work since 5.30am! bleh.gif I wants me bed! The staff here have pissed me off today! No breakfast staff showed up so I had to do breakfast, the banking officer didn't show up so I have been doing the banking as well and ontop of that I am in admin this morning trying to deal with about 80 guest check outs this morning! bleh.gifbleh.gif I'm tired and just want to snuggle back up in bed!

The bonus better be damn good this time! evileye.gif

Anyway apart from that I have had a peaceful weekend! Went for a boat ride around and just soaked up the wonderful warm day on the water! Loved seeing the little bubba croc with mama croc floating around! Made my day yesterday!

Today we are going to have a jam session at the pub (with no beer for me hmm.gif) and then we are going for a drive to Kerr Point to watch the sunset, and have a lovely dinner by the sea! smile.gif

Take care!

Man Jules, they owe you big time for that!

I went to the BlogIN today. It was an Unconference, which seem to be the newest hottest thing. Basically, an unconference is a conference with a loose structure. Session times are flexible, and you make up the sessions as you go along. The 3 sessions I ended up going to were Search Engine Optimization and RSS, Blogging 101, and Local Blogging. Then usually after these things a whole group of people hang out afterwards, but that didn't happen today. So just me and one other guy went out for some sushi.
