I thought about starting a Sunday thread earlier, but I just didn't feel to talkative today.

Well I spent the day doing laundry and helping my youngest girl come up with a game on the country of Austria for her World Studies class.  She had to have 50 questions/answers (all gathered from research she's done during the last 2 weeks on the country), then come up with a game using those q & a's drawn out on poster board, complete with playing pieces and rules for playing the game. and a work cited page....all done in duplicate so the teacher also has a copy of everything.  That took a little over 4 hours to do.

And the worst part of the whole thing is I know it's only "busy work" for the class to do this......since school is almost out, the teachers don't know what else to have the kids do in the way of homework so they come up with this kind of stuff to do.....her class hasn't even studied most of the countries the teacher assigned for this project.  They spent most of the year learning about South America and Africa.  hmm

well, I bet G-gal is really wiped out from her travels, plus she had her sisters graduation to attend to today as well. I bet once she got home and hit that couch, she's all sleep.gifsleep.gifsleep.gif

We'll see how long I can hang out. Been busy cleaning up the house. Not too sure why. I guess it looks nicer. Spent a chunk of time "wrestling" dandelions. I'm the only guy that's got such a crop on my street. (friggin' nature lover!)
Now, I'm looking through some stuff about the Oldsmobile. Last year I got in touch with one of the previous owners. He wasn't the last to own it before it came to WI. The guy before him and his dad moved to NJ. May have died, can't find any information about him. I never pushed much further.
I'm trying to connect with a guy in France. He's got 3 cars like mine. He's about 90 or so miles outside of Paris. I'm trying to see if we can't find a way to meet him on the way in to Paris.biggrinsmile

Oh thanks for reminding me about her sister's graduation JD; it completely slipped my mind that it was today.  Yeah, she's probably sleeping tonight after the busy week or so she's had.

Howdy.

Busy day today.

Church until noon, then we worked at my mother-in-law's house all afternoon. We made good progress in getting some things divided up and moved to their respective homes and a bunch of junk delivered to the dump. There is still a lot to go, but my wife is feeling better about what is left should the house sell fairly soon now. We're also starting to get concerned about vandalism, theft, etc.

I had a little fun this morning in church. The Sr. High youth were doing some special music and they were standing around waiting to practice. I told my niece that she could play my bass this morning. She was like "What? Are you serious? I can play your bass?" I said "sure go ahead, you're a guitar hero". After about 30 seconds, she decided that Guitar Hero does not really teach you how to play guitar.

Two nights, three days. We will be there for our wedding anniversary. We were supposed to go last year. Quite a few things went on that just made it impossible.

So, we're going this year. No matter what!

Talk about Jazz clubs. The wife found the "district" We're hoping to catch some cool shows, dine at cool cafe's you know.

If we can hook up with this local, it might be really cool. He's 90 miles away towards the rural areas of france. We might see the "real" France.smile

laughing.gif  I did the same thing with my daughter's bass guitar....and had the same result.

The good thing to come out of the Guitar Hero games (aside from how fun/addictive they are) is that a lot of people playing the game are now signing up for lessons to learn how to play a real guitar.  That's pretty cool.

And Brett Michaels of Poison gets beaten bad by little kids, haha, or so he says. I'd love to play the game against Slash or Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine.  biggrin
