two copies of Napoleon Dynamite, the Bruce Hornsby "Greatest Radio Hits" CD, enough gift cards from Target to start my own Target, and of course, the all important "socks".

My favorite present that I received was the LIVE AID DVD boxed set.  I can't believe it has been 20 years since that went down - man I am getting old!!  It is really cool be able to see those performances again.

hey mmman, how is that box set? I so got to get that. I remember U2 doing the best version of bad I have ever seen, and Queen was just brilliant.


Zim I got a record player and a bunch of records! I have been rocking out to Rush 2112 & Stones Sticky Fingers. Its the 70's all over again at the JD household! Also got a gift card from a department store- I get to do my annual sock and towel shopping! woohoo!

A record player? You can still get those? That makes me feel much better wondering if I'll always be able to buy a VCR for old tapes...

Now all you have to do is frequent yard sales and you can rack up the vinyls for next to nothing! You just gotta trudge through mountains of polka albums.

Yea its a real sharp looking one that looks like it was built in the 1940s with a wood cabinet and a big round dial for tuning into radio stations, but updated- it has a cd player built in and a cassette deck on the side. Crossley is the name brand.
