There is a car dealership in a suburb of Nashville that intentionally chose that number to get attention. They have it on their sign in big letters - I drive by it every day. One of the local Nashville stations did a feature about it on a newscast several months ago.

Although I would think they'd get sick of all the crank calls they gotta get. Do they just have it tied to an answering machine?

I heard of something on TV I thought was really cool. I think it was on CSI, but I'm not sure. You know how on TV every phone number starts with 555? Well the producer got a REAL phone number, because she hated the way the numbers on TV shows are always 555 numbers, and she let one of the actors record a message urging callers to give to his favorite charity.

I thought that was a pretty cool idea. Maybe it will catch on.
