One of my favorite artists from the 80's that's still active. She's only gotten classier and classier as the years have gone on.
She still looks great, her voice is better than ever.
Imagine my disappointment when I went to buy her long-awaited album (first full album of new material in 13 years) only to find out that her lead single SAME OL' STORY is a little different on the album.
The actual verse is SAME OL' F'in STORY
She must say the line 25 times in the song. WHY? WHY?
Now I can't even support her and buy the CD
It's one thing when crap like that is on a filler track in the album. But when radio is playing a clean version of the lead single that you can't even BUY anywhere it ticks me off.
"Tell me, does it move you, Does it soothe you, Does it fill your heart and soul with the roots of rock & roll? When you can't get through it you can listen to it with a 'na na na na', Well I've been there before" -"Been There Before" by Hanson
I completely agree Riggs. There are some young groups that Anna likes that I occasionally hear an offensive word from. It's just ridculous. I even hear foul language in some cartoons now.

I think it depends on the reason the artist is writing the music. (If it's for kids, then obviously they need to censor it.)
If the artist is writing the music for the purpose of the public to listen to, then sure, they shouldn't use bad words.
If the artist is writing the music for themselves, to express their feelings, then I think they shouldn't be censored.
I don't cuss often. But every once in a great while, the only suitable word to describe what I'm feeling might be a cuss word.
Now, selecting the song with a cuss word in it to be the single on the radio is just a bad choice by the label. But, does Cyndi own her own label, did she make that decision?
I wound up having to cut it from it's original 5:50 or so down to about 3:40!!!
If it sounds too crazy butchered let me know. I think the removal of the work "f'ing" went pretty well, but I really had to do a hatchet job on the end of the song when she just kept repeating the chorus
I'll play it in about five minutes, so lemme know if you think it's so badly butchered we should just skip it.
As a side note, I think the opening sounds more like Madonna singing that Cyndi.
