Do you remember the pioneer days of MTV (when they would sometimes refer to it as "M-Television"? Were you addicted to the station? What video(s) did you hope would come on each time you pressed the buttons on the cable box to tune into MTV?


I really liked The Special's videos "Message to Rudy" and "Ghost Town"- the whole Brittish/ Ska sound was new to me; I could not get enough of that. The Talking Heads "Once in a Lifetime" video was purely disturbing, as was Ozzy's "Bark at the Moon".

I sure was. I was always looking for Duran Duran. They usually got played at least every other hour!!


 


I also loved the VJ Alan!!

I remember my mom got cable just for MTV. If the tv was on, it was on MTV. Our news was the MTV news. I remember when it was just me and my mom in a one bedroom apartment eating Ramen noodles, but man, we had MTV!

Trace Adkins (country) has a new video out that is looking more like the stuff you see on MTV every day. It's called "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk".

If you are a warm-blooded male, you'd like the video . . . it's just not what you'd expect from country.
