Riggsatoni Milwaukee

hey riggs, do you still check out jsonline or any of the local milwaukee news outlets? have you read anymore about this crazy Riversplash year?? it sounded like an absolute drunken fiasco. So different from years past. I was kinda half thinkin "aw man, I used to LOVE to go to these things but the crowds now, blah blah, and the beer prices omg blah blah" was feelin a bit like a fogey on Saturday re: that. But now I simply feel lucky to be no part of that.

Went downtown on Sunday afternoon for a bit. I couldn't believe all the trash and glass. The glass wasn't even mostly broken bottles, there was freakin broken beer mugs from bars on the sidewalk. WTH?

Back in our day riggs, we could hold our booze, we all collectively gathered to get buzzed up and have a collective good time. Nowadays, these stupid in-bred crack babies come out en masse now that they are 21 and just have the damndest time being human beings.

Yeah, I read the online version of the Journal every day JD. It's insane. Like I mentioned to you on Sunday, wait for the Juneteenth celebration. Scenes from that rival the Rodney King riots every year.

It breaks my heart watching that crap happen on such a regular basis.

You just can't go out to a community sponsored event in Milwaukee anymore without worrying that some drunken idiots will ruin it for everyone.

I'm finding more and more I like to do things off-season, or go somewhere the weekend there's not a big community event going on etc. to just enjoy what is there anyhow without the influx of crowds and booze because its supposedly a special event weekend or somethin. I'd have a better Wednesday night at the river front just because its a normal night there, than to be at the Big Party.

lol heading towards 40 is way fun.biggrin.gif

Church Festivals are still a nice summer treat. As long as they're in good neighborhoods (otherwise those can turn into brawls too)
