Good morning FFR! Hope all of you have a great day and are looking forward to the weekend!!
I have to take my oldest girl to the doctor today. This time last year she was bitten by some kind of a spider and it got infected. It took 3 courses of antibiotics but it finally got better. Well, whatever kind of spider it was that bit her, the area is now re-infected again!! It started itching her earlier this week and yesterday there is pus accumulating under the skin and there's a very hard bump about the size of a quarter and it's raised up. I can't believe a whole year later this is happening again! I still think it may have been a brown recluse spider that bit her and when it happened, the "poison" they inject went really deep down into the tissue. The fang marks never did go away; they're still clearly visible. I'm a little worried about the way it looks right now; hope they can treat it once and for all!!
Oh man! How terrible! I can not imagine! I hope they get it fixed up today!
I am going to the doctor myself later today. I have had something going on with my foot for about a month now. It is not swollen or red, it just hurts! I am going to a foot clinic today! I am anxious to see what he says.
Happy Friday all! It is soooooooooo hot here in TN. I hate to sweat!
I also get to go get new tires for my LITTLE GAS SAVING CAR although that could be debated since I drive almost 50 miles a day round trip for work plus small trips to the store and my mothers house It only lasts a week and a half.
Wow, Thumper, it still sounds like you're getting excellent gas mileage! That's a lot of driving for a tank of gas to last a week and a half.
They're playing with the gas prices here. Yesterday morning gas was $3.94; last night it was back up to $4.19. I think they're catching us Michiganders for the weekend trips people take up north.
Morning all. I am glad it is Friday. I am ready for a nap. Not sure what the day will bring, but it may be one of those slow, will this day ever end days.

Doesn't quite feel like Friday does it? Maybe that is because on Wednesday, before I even got out of bed I thought it was Friday. However, on Thursday I thought it was Wednesday. I am all confuzzed.

Good Morning everyone, the sun is actually shining right now! A week of nonstop rain and flooding. I have to wait until next Tuesday to see the claims adjuster about my truck, they are setting up a disaster team to look at vehicles from what she said. Have a great day!

Hey all been here but busy in the main office sorting checks.
Ghost I hope all goes well! That's awful to get bit once let alone again!
I'm glad that it's Friday but I wasn't really sure if it was indeed Friday this morning
Woo, she wasn't bit again; it's the same bite from a year ago. I thought maybe since it started itching the other day she may have broken the skin while scratching it, but after closely examining it, it doesn't look like she did. She's worried that this time they may decide to lance it and clean it out really good. I don't want to be in the room with her if they decide to do that. I have a weak stomach sometimes when it comes to stuff like that.
I woke up about 1/2 hour early this morning feeling like we had WAY over slept. The sun was pushing through the blind on our bedroom window. Its been cloudy every morning for so long, when I saw how bright it was in the room, it was sure it was 10:00am.
Yay!
Woot!
Whoop! Whoop!
Why am I so happy? Thanks for asking, I'll tell ya . . . Runza opens today! They had a ribbon cutting last night and now they are open for business! I may not go today just because I know they will be really crowded with it being their first day open. With new staff on their first day, huge crowds and all, I may wait. It wouldn't even surprise me if they run out of food.
Its going to be a crazy day in town tomorrow. This weekend is "city-wide garage sales". The town is always busy and crawling with out-of-towners (and locals) looking for those bargains. One thing I don't understand is why parking rules don't seem to apply to garage sale shoppers. People will park illegally just to save having to walk 50 feet . . . and for some reason, if they are going to a garage sale, the cops seem to look the other way about it. I don't get it.
There is one 4-way busy intersection here in town that one of the streets has a grass median. Some how, that grass spot on the corner has become the place to put your garage sale signs to announce your sale. The problem is that people will stop right in the middle of this 4-way intersection and sit there and write down the addresses of the sales totally oblivious to the traffic problem they have created around them. We always end up with a lady sitting there in her car with traffic from four different directions trying to navigate around her, the corners, and other traffic all at the same time just because she's too stinkin' lazy to park around the corner and walk 20 steps back over there to get what she wants. I really do feel that people get more rude and ignorant by the day.
My aunt had a bumper sticker that said "I brake for Garage sales" And she did too! She got rear ended a few times.
I don't mind garage sales now, two weeks ago AC told me she wanted a larger dining room table, she wanted a tan top with the white pilar legs, rectangle not round. So the 2nd one I came to there it was $40.00 later we had a new table. Also picked up a cordless leaf blower for two bucks.

There is a row of cedar and a row of pine trees between my shop and the neighbor to the South's house, but we're only about 150 feet apart. I heard what sounded like a truck backing up the neighbor's driveway but didn't think too much about it. Shortly after, I saw the mom come flying in in her SUV. Still didn't think too much about it. I figured it was a worker and she was just coming to let them in the house.
About 10 minutes later, I heard a siren and it was an ambulance that turned the siren on as they were going from the driveway to the road.
The ambulance was probably here for their high school aged daughter since mom and dad both work. I hope she's ok, but wonder what happened.
Gotta love small town connections. My wife told me what happened next door. It wasn't the daughter, it was her grandpa. He was visiting and fell. They think he may have broken his hip.
I'm just not used to this much excitement out here where I am. Its usually pretty quiet.
