Usually, by the time I get here someone has told me what day of the week it is. I have trouble with that, as they all seem to run together for me.

It promises not to be a pleasant day. I came in and read some e-mail from the boss and she has already ticked me off. Hope everyone has a good day.

It is probably worse for you CS. Mine is at least off site and time-wise three hours behind me. So some days I come in to stupid e-mails.

We were woke up at 3:00 this morning by the neighbor's car alarm going off.  It continued for over an hour.  Finally my husband couldn't stand it anymore so he called the neighbor.  Neighbor wasn't happy to receive a phone call at that time of morning......he told my husband it was probably their cat that set it off.  It took the neighbor another hour to shut it off.  no.gif  Have I said before how much I miss our old neighbors??  hmmcry

I'm not sure which thread to go to so here it is. I'm probably wrong though.
Work is probably gonna be a very uncomfortable place very soon. An internal complaint has been made and it is gonna get nasty. There is alot of family in this place and a complaint was made about a family member by a non-family member. Unfortunately I am now sorta family by my sister marrying in. However that does not mean I am actually 'family" and I sure don't have that lookout. The person making the complaint is so scared that she tried to take her complaint back last night. My husband had to calm her down and tell her that he could not pretend she didn't complain.

On top of that I have been having sharp pains at the side of my head. Infrequent but painful. It started last night off and on. Upon looking it up on the internet it may be an ice pick headache?

Oh well that's today's story. Sorry for blabbing on.....

And did you tell him you weren't too happy to be awoke at 3:30 by his alarm?

And I am curious as to how a cat sets off an alarm. Even if it jumps on the hood or something, it can't provide that much movement to set off the alarm.

I know....their cats have been all over the cars before and have never set the car alarm off.  This guy is just a real jerk!!  I told my husband it's a good thing I wasn't the one who called him....he'd have got an earful from me.

Exactly what good is a car alarm if you are going to sleep through it? It may scare off the would be thief but it annoys everyone else in the process. If I took bets on whether more alarms were set off by theives or accidental (human or animal error), I would say humar error sets more of them off. I wonder if theives even try to steal a newer car with an alarm. There is really no point.

Thanks, And I forgot to mention that I got hit with jury duty papers again! 4th time in this stupid county! I'm trying to decide whether to postpone it or not. I'm on vacation during my selected duty time. But these are call in ones to see if you have to attend. So it could be over very quickly or I could get nailed with having to go. hmm

My husband got papers to fill out for jury duty two weeks ago.  His said he may be selected to serve during the Fall.  I told him it will probably be during deer hunting season, which he has already put in for a vacation at that time.

Jury duty doesn't exactly sound like fun. Sounds like it gets in the way of things. I realize that it is our "duty" but still.

Sorry about the headache. I get migraines, do you? Sometimes my migraines start with that brief ice pick pain that is intermittent.

I do but they are not often. Right now the ice pick pain is mild but I know it's there. Not like last night when I almost dropped a glass when the pain hit. My husband couldn't figure out why i kept flinching. Now I 'll be able to tell him what I think it is.

Woo - I hope you took some drugs to try and lessen the pain. I know that the drugs don't always help and sometimes there is a rebound headache if they do. I also know how a headache can get worse, especially if untreated. I try to ignore mine, but sometimes they are so bad. I did the whole headache thing for four days last week.

I was in a mad dash this morning and I didn't grab anything. I may have some Tylenol in my purse. I don't get migraines often enough so my presrciptions always run out. Someday I'm gonna just buy some regular migraine meds.

Nah, the coworker that is complaining is cool and she is not complaining about me. I believe her. Now whether others will- meaning "true" family members will is another story. cry

Since work seems to give me the majority of my headaches, I try to keep a bottle of Advil or Tylenol in my desk drawer.

 Ice Pick headaches?  I've never heard of that before.


Have you checked just to make sure you don't have an actual ice pick in your ear?  Ooooooooooh, I HATE when that happens!  hmm.gif
