Same here, but I'm up anyway.

Happy Father's Day all! (Even if your children are the furry kind.)

I baked cookies for my dad last night, and we're going to go visit him here in a few. It's a two hour drive, but it looks like a beautiful day. I just hope no roads between here and there are washed out yet.

Happy Father's Day! We have no plans. The girl is spending it with Mom's boyfriend instead then this evening she is going to horse camp until Thursday. Maintenance never returned last night. They only worked upstairs. The only thing they did was poke holes in the closet ceiling. They didn't get anyone over to dry the carpet or anything. And it is still dripping. We supplied our own buckets (from carrying the fish here) I'm sure my husband is gonna raise hell as soon as the office opens in about a half hour.

In any case, have a good one!

oh hello. Happy Fathers day to all those who spawned.smile.gif

busy weekend, but fun. I'll be heading out to my folks house in an hour and 1/2 or so, to spend some quality time with me paps. ( a couple of beers in the sun). I will be back in time to spin some punk & jazz this evenin for anyone in the mood.smile.gif

friday night was a good night, no rain, and I found an excellent price on a beef tenderloin. it HAD to be weighed and labeled wrong! It said it was 1 lb 6 oz and cost $9.81. I swear it must have been 2 1/2 pounds. it was too huge. So we grilled that up with some asparagus, small bagets, and a nice wine. Then watched the best of Will Farrell and a video on Otis Redding.smile.gif

Saturday we went to the Grecian Fest at a church not far from here, right by where Squonk lives. It was pouring rain, but most of the outdoor part of the fest was under a big tent anyhow, so no worries. The shis kebobs, saganoki (sic?) and qyros and baklava where really really yummy. Much better than at the big Greek Fest held at State fair. I think these people could focus on quality because it wasn't really all that crowded. you could walk around the back side and see all the chickens roasting on a spit over the hot coals. Might get one of the chickens to go tonight to make sammiches or wraps early this week.

I've spawned. Thanks, JD. smile.gif

Home from church. Man, I'm jittery. I had a Cherry Coke during the service today and I must have been hungry or something because I have the shivers and jitters. They turned the A.C. down and that made it cooler which made my shivers worse.

I could barely play the last song and it was just the lead acoustic and me on bass. JR was listening, I'm sure it didn't sound good. hmm.gif

Happy Father's day to you fellow dads (and as Mz mentioned, pet owners too).

Sunday on.

I think I figured out what my problem is.

I just kept feeling worse and worse. I sat down and started eating lunch and I felt like I was gonna throw up. I suddenly got really dizzy and just about fell down getting to the bathroom. My head was pounding and I was still cold so I took my temp ... 103.5.

I took some Tylenol and have been laying here with cold wash cloths on my head for the last three hours and I'm back down to 101 now and feeling considerably better. The difference between 101 and 103 is huge in how one feels.

Thinking back to this morning and some early intestinal issues, I'm quite certain that I having a bout of toxic shock or have gone "septic".

I'm back to where I feel like I want to live.

Well, there is really no way to describe it without TMI but basically it was caused by a bowel movement, an open hemorrhoid, and getting waste in the blood stream.

Not much fun.

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there!  Hope you guys enjoyed the day and were pampered by your wife and children.  smile

Web, sorry you're not feeling well today.  cry  Hopefully you'll be back to your old self soon.

It was a beautiful day here today!  Sunny, warm, and a nice breeze blowing.  Bought my hubby a new grill and we fired it up today......burgers and hot dogs. lick.gif  My kids had some friends over today to join in the family bar-b-que.....they don't have dads of their own and think of my husband as their "dad"; he doesn't mind.

Anyway, hope everyone had a good weekend!!  smile

that sounds like a good fathers day sandy.

I was at my folks house. it was fun to hang out with my folks today, and my bro, wife and their 2 kids came over & we all had dinner. myles is 4 yrs old, and simon is 14 months. and simon is only 4 pounds lighter than myles. this kid is a tank, but way way funny and fun. he doesn't ask to go UPPY or anthing, he just starts climbin up on people and tables. too funny.

I love my nephews, but at a certain point I think their folks start lookin for uncle jd to be the baby-siter for the day, and well thats good for awhile, but they aint my kids. you did the deed, now you do your job. uncle jd needs a beer.wink.gif

laughing.gif  That was always the best part of family gatherings when my girls were little.  My 2 brothers were built-in babysitters for a little while, which gave me a much needed break.  And they were like you......"ok, time to go back to momma, I needs a beer!!"

Happy Father's Day! Web, I hope you're on the mend! Wishing everyone else a happy Sunday night!

I spent a whole day with Mom and Dad and I'm exhausted! We had to hang at their place a bit and then went to Sam's Club so we could use my membership - they were picking up food for my sister Tara's grad party next weekend. Then we had to go to Home Depot for Dad so he could price sheds and concrete. Exciting, I know. In true form, Dad had to milk it for all it's worth so he decided we should go get steaks and corn and have dinner instead of lunch, and I should do the grilling. laughing.gif We did, I did, and then he wanted to watch a movie. I was wiped, so I had to bow out...he was disappointed I wanted to leave, but it was already 7 something by the time we finished dinner. Anyway, he did enjoy the time we spent together, loved the card and ate 1/2 a box of chocolates too.

Wow, your dad had a great Father's Day, G-gal!!  He conned you into cooking for him.  giggle.gif

When I first moved out on my own, I invited my mom and dad over for a bar-b-que on Father's Day.  Only thing.....I didn't own a grill or charcoal, and I didn't know the first thing about how you go about grilling anything.  My dad had to stop and pick up a small grill and stuff from the store, then he had to cook his own dinner.  laughing.gif  I sure had a good time!!  biggrin

Happy Belated Fathers Day since I didn't get in here yesterday. I spent Saturday with my folks and helped my dad build a shed. Yesterday Allison took me and AC's Dad for a train ride on Thomas the train. She had a blast! (AC can post pics if she want's too) Then I made chicken fajitas on the grill for everyone last night. I decided next time I am going to put applewood smoked bacon in the mix from now on. hungry.gif
