Congratulations to the Texas Rangers

Anyone who follows baseball will know how impressive of a move this was by the Texas Rangers, considering how hard it is to find quality pitching these days.

The Texas Rangers cut starting pitcher Sidney Ponson who had a record of 4-1 with a 3.88 ERA because of attitude problems.

This guy has been a jerk and a clubhouse cancer since the day he signed with the Baltimore Orioles about ten years ago.  It's amazing to see someone finally say enough is enough.

They say when he was asked for a media interview as he left the stadium he handed a reporter a sheet of toilet paper with the words "F*ck You" written on it, along with a crude drawing of the Rangers General Manager with a phallic symbol in his mouth.

Real class act.

Now let's see what club shows their own lack of class by trying to snap this guy up right away.

They should've made him face Chuck Norris.

evileye Very funny.

Tell me D, as of right now, how are your Brewers doing? Did you see my Phillies take game one against the Red Sox last night? Be patient. The season is far from over.

Well, it only took two days to get our answer, and the answer is far from surprising.

The New York Yankees snatched up Sidney Ponson today.  Another team that's sure an a-hole player will miraculously be less of an a-hole once he's in their uniform.

I hope they pay a heavy price in the clubhouse for stooping low enough to pick this slug up.

I guess they became more desparate when one of their top pitchers went down over the weekend. He is done for at least two months.

New York has alot of distractions... at least 8 million... being New York and all....maybe he will just blend in.  Or maybe there will just be  more potential for trouble.  I am glad he is in the AL.
