I can't find this old thread, so I'm starting a new one.
I'm not a big fan of energy drinks, usually because they're loaded with corn syrup. So I found a new one that claims it's all natural: Function Alternative Energy, Tangerine-Yuzu.
Blech. It smells like an auto repair shop, and tastes like dirty dishwater. (Or at least what I imagine dirty dishwater would taste like if you took out the soap and chilled it.)
First, a followup on Function: Alternative Energy: As bad as it tasted, it worked. It kept me alert for the rest of the day, without coming down and being more tired than before. I did have a little trouble getting to sleep, but I still fell asleep eventually, so it wasn't too bad.
Next, Taster's Choice on the Go: $1 for a box of 7 packets at CVS
It does say to pour it into 6 oz of water. I thought 8 oz-ish would work. I'm regretting it, it does taste watered down. It's also a bit acidic and tangier than I like my coffee, I prefer smooth. I don't always add cream to my coffee, but this is one that needs cream. But the whole purpose of this coffee is to be portable, and dairy creamer isn't exactly portable.
