I just saw a story on the news that a lot of manufacturing work is coming back to the USA because it's no longer cheaper to have stuff made overseas. Especially the larger stuff.
Foreign labor costs are increasing, but the big thing is the oil, which is turning the cost of a single cargo bin to go from about $1500 to ship all the way up to nearly $6000 now.
North Carolina is a big furniture manufacturing state. They have THomasville furniture, I live only about a quarter mile from Stanley furniture. They're all seeing more orders because stores are finding their prices to be more comparable now when you take into account shipping.
Plus it's a good time to be able to proclaim your products are MADE IN THE USA
