Everything old is new again, it's just called something different

The local newscasters were all excited about a local hospital that came up with a great idea.

They sent an email to their employees to find out who, if anybody would share a ride with their coworkers.

They find people who live in the same neighborhood and then one week one of them drives to work, the next week the other one does.  This effectively cuts the gas usage in half between the two.

They acted like this was a brilliant new idea.

Isn't it just carpooling?!?!

The economy is making people el loco I tell ya!

I'd hate to carpool. someone's always early, or always too late, someone smells, you get everyone in the car and they start bitchin about work before they're even there. But I gotta tell ya, at $4.19 a gallon, all that crap might be worth it.

My ride into work is only 15 minutes so carpooling wouldn't be too bad.

I just remembered, one of the networks trotted out a crappy new show last year called CARPOOLING. OMG was it bad. It was one of those shows where you really have to wonder who's running the networks and HOW they could possibly have thought this show might be a success.

I saw that show a couple times. I agree that it was far from "quality entertainment".

no one would ever want to carpool with us. Thanks to my husband we never leave on time and you don't get to smoke in my car!

I watched the first episode. Tried to watch some of the second, and it was all bad. Almost as bad as that Caveman show they did too.
