poor excuse for a WEDNESDAY

I guess I'll start the thread...
Happy Hump day

This morning a baby bluejay fell out of the tree and landed on my BF's truck and just was hanging out on the hood. When I went out the back door the mama bird started yelping and flipping out... i took a picture of it. I guess it can't fly yet...it was so cute

I have a doctor's appt today for my physical, he'll tell me i gained weight (I quit smoking in January) etc.... and tell me all the things I should be doing..hmm.gif

Carry on folks.

Present.

Today should move along. At least I hope it will. We can do it folks, just one more morning to get out of bed and roll into work this week. We shall prevail.

Carry on.

Ultimo, there's some times you get 3 day weekends when we don't.

I've got some help in my office today, so I don't know how much I'll be in here. But I'm grateful for the help.

Hey Ultimo, how are you liking Guitar Hero - Aerosmith??  I haven't bought it yet, am trying to decide if it's worth getting or not.  Are most of the songs performed by Aerosmith or is it a lot of songs from bands inspired by them?

Hi Ghost,

Yeah all the Aerosmith songs are performed by Aerosmith, and then there are a few other bands doing songs that influnced Aerosmith, it's not a bad game but seems alot easier that GH3 too me, I completed Easy within a couple of hours I would say, where as GH3 took me a lot longer on easy, maybe I just got better but also all the songs are a simmilar tempo so that makes things easier, no super fast songs like you get on the other GH games, as I know you are a GH fan I would say get it, but I prefer GH3, this is more of an add on to 3.

There are some band interview sections in the game which are nice but I am not a huge Aerosmith fan, 'Walk This Way' was fun, love that song.

Cool; thanks for the info on it Ultimo!!  I love Aerosmith, but wasn't sure if a whole game of their songs would be any fun.  Do you get any bonus songs or characters?  As you can see, I haven't done any research on the game yet, haha.

I saw GH is coming out with something very similar to Rock Band in October...just in time for the Christmas buying season.  I've checked it out, but still think I'd go the Rock Band route if I was thinking of buying a game like this.  Harmonix really knows what they're doing with Rock Band, and Red Octane just seems like they want to cash in on Rock Band's lead, although the drum kit for GH's game is supposed to be far superior to Rock Band's.  Ever played Rock Band?? I've played a couple of times....the drum track is hard as hell on some of the songs, but it was fun.  It's also more fun to play if you have 4 people....not a game like GH where you can have fun playing by yourself.

yeah there are the usual unlockable people and also all the Aerosmith guitarists, and DMC, there are bonus songs too, like the original Walk This Way and some Joe Perry solo stuff, but I haven't played those yet, It's not boring playing all Aerosmith songs as they mix it up by making you play two warm up songs by other bands using the GH band.

If you are an Aerosmith fan then it's a must, I'm just not that big a fan, would love too see a Rolling Stones version or Beatles that would be cool.

last night I was at my grandma's house for dinner. her contribution was to bake brownies for dessert. she read the directions wrong tho and added 3 cups of water instead of one. so now I've got these almost thick fudge sponge cake things. not bad, just odd. its ok tho. she's 94.smile

I'm surprised they even came out somewhat in "Brownie" form w/ that much water JD?

usually in brownies it's oil, egg and water JD, so you are right w/ the water (I think)
