Not sure what the cause is, but moving the celebrity station bumpers to VISTA from XP seems to have corrupted 90% of the files

Talk about a near heart attack.  This is the coolest part of the station legacy in my opinion.  (other than the friends made here of course).

JD & I have talked about how 30 years from now those will be so cool to listen to and remember the station.

Luckily I had them in three different locations, and only two of the locations appear corrupted. I'm working on them now to try and transfer them without further damage but I feel like I'm working with a brittle, irreplacible dinosour fossil or something.  I get nervous with every move I make.

Lesson learned, because even the digital backups on the external hard drive are corrupted.  When I get these things straighted out they'll be going on a CD (yes JD, one will be mailed to you )

Yay!  I think all have been saved

I had to re-record the Ray Parker Jr. one from the original take that LS sent me.

The last one that I didn't think was going to be saved was Marti Dodson from Saving Jane (my favorite one of course).

Every single copy I found was corrupted.  Until finally the last possibility, an old broadcast backup file, had it in there unharmed.

What a bummer it would have been to lose all these.

If you lose them for any reason, I have copies of most of them. Some of the ones that you edited yourself, I never did get copies of. And I'd actually like to have them just for my files. I'll get a list together for you one of these days.

And naturally, I got some more at Rocklahoma, so there will be some new metal ones coming your way some time soon.
