Apparantly he had a brain tumor in the 90s and it made him re-evaluate his life.
He's a born again Christian now and his new album is Christian Rock, but he swears (well, actually, he tries not to swear anymore) that the music rocks hard from start to finish and is as good as anything he's ever done.
He said the biggest difference is just that the lyrics are more thoughtful and have more meaning now. As he put it, there's less songs about popping that girl after the concert.
I've always liked his voice, so I'll be excited to hear what he's come up with.
