MSNBC.com has an awesome video section to their website, which again, if hooked up to your TV is every bit as good as having cable (although the video quality is not quite as nice as I found netflix to be).
You can set a playlist from hundreds of news, sports and entertainment stories they've done throughout the day, including interviews from the Today show, the nightly news, etc.
Then just click your playlist and hit full screen. For the next five minutes to three hours (depending on how much you selected) you're own personal newscast plays out.
