How the heck do they get up there?  Roof must be really close to the ground some place.  Do they eat actual holes into the roof?

How many goats you figure it would take to keep your lawn mowed?

neither do I... no.gifwink.gif

I think its a low roof in back that leads to a shed where they stay sandy. there was supposedly a baby goat up there too, but there are nooks and crannies for them to rest in too.smile.gif

That goat looks awful lonely. And that grass is a million times better than my front lawn right now. And we won't even talk about my roof. I can't seem to get grass to grow up there at all.

it was a nice trip over all. got up there and watched the sun set over the water. really perfect weather for that. we went back to the condo and made pizzas, cranked tunes and drank wine. we were going to try a fire pit out back, but a quick rain storm blew by and put it out.

Saturday we got up to a good home made breakfast, and spent the day going to little shops, some resale shops, went to go get a burger and a beer at a bar, and then went to this cherry festival at a winery. it was good, I got a couple of bottles of cherry wine- one is a dry cherry wine, the other is a cherry chardonay that was way good. we also drove to this one bluff way north, I think its called Ellis Peak, that looked out over the lake. way cool. It might have been Michigan we saw way off in the distance.

then we went to this restaurant later on in the evening called The English Room. Duck is usually all hit or all miss, but the duck I had there was definately all hit.

we went back to the condo and had 1 more drink in front of the firepit, then called it a night right about 12:30. everyone was tired from being out in the hot sun all day.

Sunday we got up, and went for a walk on a nature trail behind the condo. Its really nice. It leads up to a batch of cherry trees, where you can pick the cherries right off and eat them. very good. we then went to the goat restaurant for swedish pancakes with berries, swedish meatballs, potatoes, and a bunch of coffee. we then went for a nice drive through some backroads, and then packed up and headed back home.

on the way home we stopped by this awesome winery in algoma, wi, called von steil. the building was built like in 1867. The wine is really good there too. if you go upstairs to the gift shop, they only allow 8 people up there because the wood, although sturdy, is way old and you can feel it creaking beneath your feet.smile

sounds fun! I love cherry wine. I wish we could get our finances straightened out so we could go on another winery run. Oh that was so fun! I have 2 bottles left. I need to restock! smile
