I'll probably be alone in the office again today. Loyce and Joe are still out (Loyce is my boss and one of the owners, Joe is her husband and one of my coworkers). Charla's (another coworker) daughter hopefully had her baby last night, so I don't expect to see a lot of Charla today. Larry is the other owner and Charla's boyfriend (life partner? They're both divorced and never going to remarry, but they might as well be married.). Larry is often out on the print shop floor, and I don't know how much he'll be in today anyway. So that leaves me in the office. Hopefully *knocks on wood* it'll be a quiet day and I can use this opportunity to get some stuff done.
I really need to get some work done! I am tired of being behind, but my hand will only allow me to work so fast. Tonight we are going to see The Dark Knight at the IMAX tonight. That's about it.

I'm at home waiting for 9:00 so I can go over to show the plumber what we want done at the other house. Since the house has no A.C. I went over and opened it up and turned on the whole house attic fan to help cool it down some for him.
I've got a hutch to move out of there so I'm also going to abuse the plumber and ask him to help me get that carried out to the van. He's a cool guy, I'm sure he'll be happy to help and its not that terribly heavy. It would just be tough for me to do it by myself and I hate to ask someone to come help do something that will only take 30 seconds to do. The hutch is going out to my shop for now and it won't be a problem for me to unload it by myself. I can just slide it out of the van and tip it down onto a dolly and then roll it to where its going to be.
Morning all. Had another 9am meeting today. Thankfully, it didn't last too long. I have a lot of odds and ends to be completed the rest of the week. I made a quick list late yesterday to hopefully finish today. There are several things on it, but some are pretty quick and clean. So, off I go to do them.
Work on.

Morning all. I didn't sleep too well last night; had a terrible headache that just wouldn't go away..felt like my head was being split apart from the inside. Once I finally did get to sleep I had some crazy dream about being some kind of a superhero with extremely long dredlocks, and the villians kept grabbing hold of me by 'em and pulling me back to fight them. I finally escaped by cutting off all my dreds and leaving the villians in a huge flash of blue light which killed them. Good news is my headache was gone when I woke up.
Anyway I have some last minute stuff to do today before we head up to the cabin tomorrow. We have a shed up there that I think a black widow spider may have taken up residence in, so I have to go to the lawn/garden store to pick up some bug killer. I'm wondering if a fogger followed by a dusting powder would work good; I'm going to have to ask them at the store for a recommendation.
Morning all! I had to go take E to her new school to provide proof of residency. She wanted to see the cafeteria and where you go for detention! I have a LONG ROAD ahead of me I believe!
yesterday I left my debit card at the restaurant where I went for lunch. dammit. by the time I discovered it was gone, they were already closed. So as a preventative measure, I had the bank cancel the card. You just never know. I called this morning, and the restaurant does indeed have it. Even tho it is cancelled I'm still going to go get it and cut it up. I need to figure out how much cash I will need in the next week, and go to the bank and get that amount, because the new card takes upto 5-7 business days to arrive.
This is like the 3nd time that I've done this. The other 2 times involved me forgetting it in an ATM machine, before the slide reader became all the rage. Its almost like not "if" it happens, but "when" it happens.

I am feeling better, Ruby. Thanks for asking. I still took a lortadine this morning just to keep the antihistamine in my system a little longer, just in case it's the drugs doing all the work.
And of course, my day has gone crazy. Charla and Larry are here, but I keep getting Loyce and Joe's work, including stuff that I've never done before. I really don't see why some of it can't wait until they get back.
He did help me load the hutch. They worked for about an hour and had to run to the hardware store so since it was that close to lunch decided to take lunch too. After lunch, the last thing was a leaking drain which turned into a much bigger project.
There is a house for sale just on the edge of town that is only about 5 years old and it's really cool. Its in an estate as the owner passed away about a year ago. The son of the owner called me to see if I'd be interested in buying some wood as his dad has a woodshop there too and he had a good supply of walnut, oak, etc.
I told him I might be interested and mentioned I saw the house was for sale so I asked him how much they were asking.
If I was going to spend this much money (and its a lot of money for us) on a house in this town, this would be the one I would want. Five acres on the top of a hill, 5,000 sq ft, four bedrooms, all brick, shop outbuilding, etc.
I mentioned it to my wife and she was like pfffft, yeah, right. But then started thinking about it. She agreed with me that if we were going to go that deep on a house, this is probably the best "value" we've seen around here in a long time.
Mrs. Web works in a bank, just have her write an I.O.U and tape it to the vault door. I think as long as they don't see her doing it they have to follow the rules laid down by St. Borrowm`e.

I've been lookin at flyers and stuff in the realter's boxes in my neighborhood when out for walks. I'm shocked at how low (er well, rather non-inflated maybe) the houses are. One is asking $150,000. its beautiful. I bet 3 yrs ago it would have easily have been $225,000 asking.

Fuzzy, win the lottery and then you don't HAVE to do anything in Nebraska (well except on Saturdays, you have to be a Husker fan). You could just do whatever you wanted.
