Apparently a "suspicious bicycle" has been found outside of the City Hall in Pewaukee, WI. The dude inside the building who is threatening to blow the place up seems to be okay, but according to the news authorities find the bicycle to be acting suspiciously.weirdface.gif

Yep, Pewaukee. They have a helicopter circling over the scene. I guess some of the surrounding buildings are being evacuated. I could see a bunch of people standing in a parking lot.

I hope it ends peacefully too. Nobody needs that kind of thing. It's just funny how the media elected to announce the story... not so much that the guy inside threatening to blow the place up was out of place, but the bike was suspicious. confused.gif I'd think the wackadoo making the threats would be far, far more suspicious than the bicycle.

They haven't really said what the bike was doing that was so suspect. There is a news conference going on right now with a spokesman for the police department... he says all of the city hall employees have been evacuated from the building, so there are no hostages. Dude has elected to hold up in a unisex bathroom in the building and the negotiators are talking to him through the door. No word on whether the bike is in the bathroom too or if it made a break for it.

UPDATE: Pewaukee standoff over

The tactical situation at the Pewaukee Police Department involving a man who said he had an explosive device has been resolved, a law enforcement official said. Pewaukee police have not yet provided an update of the situation, but the law enforcement official said the situation ended without problems.
