Manny is a head case, but I'm shocked the Sox are willing to let him go during the stretch run. I would think they'd tell him to shut up and play, then let him go after the year is over.
Did you see those qoute last night? I don't think he wants to be there. Doesn't seem like he has been playing hard. That isn't fair to his teammates. If they can trade him for value, then you do it. Don't get me wrong, I do not want the rumored trade to happen. I wouldn't like seeing him in the division. Just in case he gets his act together. Batter hits a fly ball to left field, fairly shallow. Rickie isn't watching to see if the ball is going to be caught. When it is caught he's already well past second base. Soriano throws to first and gets Rickie out by about 15 steps.
I figured it was something like he thought the ball was going to drop, the outfielder makes a spectacular catch and then he was doubled off. You can't have your leadoff hitter making those mistakes. He was better off staying on the bench. I saw his pinch at-bat last night. Bullet right to the first baseman.
But now I see Bush is in some trouble.
