Baseball thread for thursday

I am very disappointed the Red Sox got swept by the Angels again!!
and that Manny Ramirez is probably going to be gone by the end of the day. tears.gif

I think the Red Sox really need a miracle to get them out of this funk they are in!!cry.gif

I spoke of both the Angles and Red Sox in another thread.

I also mentioned the Brewers and Phillies.

Go Phillies!

Manny is a head case, but I'm shocked the Sox are willing to let him go during the stretch run. I would think they'd tell him to shut up and play, then let him go after the year is over.

Did you see those qoute last night? I don't think he wants to be there. Doesn't seem like he has been playing hard. That isn't fair to his teammates. If they can trade him for value, then you do it. Don't get me wrong, I do not want the rumored trade to happen. I wouldn't like seeing him in the division. Just in case he gets his act together. But it makes you wonder how long before he acts up at his new place.

Yeah, the Red Sox don't deserve him. He's RIGHT! NO team deserves to have to put up with such an a**.

Last night in the dugout he held up a sign for TV that said "Trade me to Green Bay for Brett Favre straight up"

What an a**

Huh? confused

My goodness, that is serious. Well, if it helps, I see that although Soriano got hit with a pitch to start the game, but Bush got out of the inning without an issue.

I would really like some baseball snacks. I can't believe you aren't having any. What is for lunch then? I mean, I have eaten, but I want to see if you are having anything good.

You wanna splain to me what just happened. How or why did Weeks get double off first?

He gets a single and then makes a baserunning mistake?

Nobody out, Rickie Weeks on first.

Batter hits a fly ball to left field, fairly shallow.  Rickie isn't watching to see if the ball is going to be caught.  When it is caught he's already well past second base.  Soriano throws to first and gets Rickie out by about 15 steps.  no.gif

This is not how playoff teams play baseball no.gif

I figured it was something like he thought the ball was going to drop, the outfielder makes a spectacular catch and then he was doubled off. You can't have your leadoff hitter making those mistakes. no.gif  He was better off staying on the bench. I saw his pinch at-bat last night. Bullet right to the first baseman.

But now I see Bush is in some trouble.
