We just got Pambo home from the hospital. The surgery went much better than expected. They didn't have to do some of what was initially anticipated. At present, we are hanging out in the living room watching TV. She says hi to everyone and, "I'm really wasted." Oh yeah... and the chicken noodle soup she is eating feels really good on her throat.

"Tell me, does it move you, Does it soothe you, Does it fill your heart and soul with the roots of rock & roll? When you can't get through it you can listen to it with a 'na na na na', Well I've been there before" -"Been There Before" by Hanson
Glad it went better than the expected. Hope she heals quickly. We are thinking of her. Give her some cartoons and a nap. Then she will instantly feel better.
Speedy recovery.

I read her your messages... she says thanks for the well wishes. We are watching Divorce Court... what a circus. Poor Richard is over there wrestling around an old TV and tidying up. He's a good man.

Thanks everybody. Pambo is napping. Richard and I are sitting here watching some TV show called "Cheaters". I can't believe they even try to pass this off as anything other than sleeze TV. It's just not right.

My husband watches that show. Sometimes I'm not sure which I'd rather be tortured with- Cheaters or Cops Unfortunately some days are both

CP... I think your wife is on right after my husband. DOH!
Woo... I feel your pain. In my house, it was always either Cops or World War II shows. I used to tell him just about every day, "I bet the Germans lose again. Just like they did yesterday! Come to think of it, they always lose."

He wanted to be a cop so he is obsessed with those shows and the military shows. Most of them make me go sleepy. Some I don't mind if it's about people committing crimes poorly- lol His latest one is Generation Kill on HBO I think. I've asked him if he likes it. He admitted that so far it's not great but yet he is still watching it

I know what you mean Woo. The best sleeping pill I can ever take is a Tom Cruise Movie.
Oh my gosh that guy puts me to sleep. I have no idea what his appeal is, seriously. Besides, he is so SHORT. His head comes up to just under my nose and I am only 6 foot one.

Take it from TG and I, good thing he didn't become a cop, most of them are full of themselves, and have EGO's the size of Texas...... very annoying. My ex BF thought if a girl who he pulled over batted her eyelashes at him or undid her top button it was because she liked him....
NEWSflash, they do that to every cop not because they like them....it's so they don't get a ticket!!!
Darlene- we would never of met if he was a cop. And I didn't care for cops anyway
CP- yes! There is only a handful of Tom Cruise movies I like. I never have liked him. My friends thought I was weird because they were drooling over him.

I've actually been watching Generation Kill. It is fairly interesting, but then again I was a military brat. Cops is okay every once in a while, but if I've seen the it before I don't want to see it again. "Reality TV" shows are not my thing. In my opinion most of them are shameless. Pambo loves them. I just can't imagine what would drive someone to put their personal issues on display in that fashion. I don't even watch American Idol, Survivor, or anything like that. I know that is probably weird, but I'm good with it.

YAY! Pambo is awake again, but probably only for a minute. I asked her how she is doing... she said, "I'm still wasted." Said she isn't doing too bad pain wise though. I guess Richard is going to go get her new pain med prescription filled as soon as he wakes up all the way... everybody cept me was out cold for the last hour or so... even the dog.

We don't do sun very much. The light tends to bother Pambo's Trigeminal Neuralgia and I'm just a pasty white Irish girl. Basically, I have 2 shades... ghost white or bright red. Earlier this summer despite several coats of SPF30, I still managed to get a second degree sunburn during an all day motorcycle ride. I say be as purple as you can be! Embrace the grapiness of it all.

I'm light orange and slightly tannish orange. It's not obvious until I compare my skin directly next to someone else's. Everyone is kind of whitish pink, while I look like I have an orange tinge. And in the summer, I don't really tan or burn, I just get a tad bit oranger. You really can't tell the difference. I don't know why I bother with sunscreen most the time.
