A friend invited me to StumbleUpon today, and I am having a blast with it.

I installed the FireFox toolbar that has a Stumble button that takes you to a random page based on the interests you specify and your friends' pages.

Basically, it's personalized one button web surfing.  Just since I got home from work, I've found a drinking games site, a site where a guy built a hobbit house, and a cool street sculpture artist.  You can see the pages I've marked as "I Like It!" at http://mzhartz.stumbleupon.com/favorites/

Oh my.  This is quite awesome.  This opens up the internet in a big big way.

So many times I get bored thinking I visit just the same 20 or so sites every day.  My first ten STUMBLES and I've loved seven of them so far!

I just spent another half hour stumbling around the net. This is SO cool!

When you first posted it MZ I wasn't gong to try it, because i hate anything that adds another toolbar. I've seen people who have half their screen nothing but toolbars. I try to keep mine as compact as possible.

But this one is worth the space. So many times I would sit here bored with the web and wish I had some other places to check out. Now I click the button and boom, something tailored to my interests.

I love how random it is too. Sometimes it's just a cartoon, sometimes it's a picture, sometimes a news article, sometimes a website. Very very neat.

Good find!

Oh, plus, it's got to help promote the station now that we're on Stumble! smile.gif

I thought the same thing, "Not another toolbar!" But I did the same thing I do with other toolbars in FireFox, I move stuff around to consolidate it on the 3 toolbars I have. I have the File, Edit, etc. bar with my Delicious bookmarks next to it. Then I have the address and navigation bar. Then I have my Google and StumbleUpon bar.

Yep, the first thing I did was add the FFR home page.

question- Do you know if this is something you can change your email address with at a later date or are you stuck with it for a log in like MySpace?

Looks like changing your email is a snap, but your user name you'd have to stick with I think, unless I'm missing something.
