it's Sunday

I am back. Got back late yesterday. Need to unpack. I had a great time. The weather was great and the kids were too. We went to the beach or sat by the pool the whole time. I did not go to the Hard Rock Park, but all of the boys went. They said there were about 50 people there all day! Wow! But it was in the 90s! 20 years seems like a lot, but we picked up nicely. It is funny how are lives are so similar. My hubby seems to have behaved while I was away too, so that made coming home better. I missed you all! Work will be too busy next week!

have a great!

Mornin' e'body. Hey Ruby, glad you had a nice time smile.gif

I'm suffering some baseball withdrawels this weekend. Stupid MLB blackout rules have kept me from watching the last six days worth of Brewers games. I also can't see todays game or tomorrows no.gif Ridiculous.

Usually on Sunday I clean the house and listen to Web's church stream, but today I think I'll leave the house be. It's not really all that messy. I think I'll work on some other stuff instead.

Tonight I'll have to choose between the Cubs//Cardinals games and JD's shows. Considering I'm starving for baseball I'm afraid it will be a hard call. Maybe I'll surf between the two.

Alright, carry on! Go in peace!

That sounds like a great time Ruby! I'm glad you had fun!

This has been a good weekend. It is an absolutely beautiful morning. Today Brian's making some venison and sausage meatballs with his spaghetti sauce, and then I'm going to finish cleaning up the kitchen. We also have to do laundry. That's about the extent of our day until I'm back here to listen to JD's shows.

Howdy Folks.

CP: JR's link is the one you need. We start at 10:45am central time. I goofed up today. We were part way into the service when I realized I wasn't broadcasting anything. I had it set to broadcast what my computer was playing (nothing) rather than what was coming through the mic input. Hopefully if you listen next week, I'll do it right.

After church, we went out for lunch with my dad and his wife then they came back to our house for a while to check out the basement organization project. When they left, I got about 1/2 way through changing my clothes when I decided to stretch out on the bed for a bit. I woke up 1.5 hrs later . . . If I would have only doubled that, I would have slept as long as JR.

Good evening everyone.  Am FINALLY here for JD's shows biggrin....man, did I miss 'em the past few Sunday nights!!

Got youngest girl off to band camp this afternoon; she'll be gone for the week.  I'm gonna miss her while she's gone, but she will have a lot of fun with her classmates.

Oldest girl is out to her boyfriend's home for a while tonight, and hubby is messing around downstairs on his computer, so it's like being home all alone right now!!! clap.gifsmile

Welcome back Ruby.  We missed you!!!!  smile

Well, I don't think I can listen in tonight. My internet connection is down, and I'm stealing a neighbor's.

well state fair was fun. we saw what we wanted to see in 3.5 hrs or so. I think next year, it would be worth taking a day off of work, going early on a weekday, where the crowds are less and you can really just have a fun relaxing time. it wasn't tooo too crowded, but you get a lot of them must get it in on the weekend folks that get in eachothers way. got another creampuff, some chocolate covered cranberries, wisconsin cattle association hamburger. I like the fair. I didn't for many years.smile.gif

Sounds like you had a good time today JD.  I've never been to our state fair; but I do go to our county fair.  I like it better since they moved the fairgrounds outside of the city; there's a lot less trouble at the fair now.

Chocolate covered cranberries sound good!  smile

I used to always go on a weekday as soon as they opened.  Crazy-small crowd until about 2 in the afternoon.  And a very low knuckle-head content!  I was one of the only ones there! nod.gif

There's a bunch of great church festivals every single weekend too! My church always had a super sucky festival though. No rides. Crappy games. It sucked.

I did that too riggs, back when I was workin third shift. after that last shift for the week, I'd head straight to the fair like at 7:30 in the morning. Breakfast with the farmers, got to see everthing, lazy pace. really nice. LOL I was usually so toast by noon that I had to rush home to bed before I fell asleep on the drive home....smile.gif

We haven't had a lot of festivals or entertainment options this summer.  I think because our state's economy is so bad right now, they've decided not to hold as many.....a lot of people wouldn't be able to afford to go to 'em this year.  I miss going around from festival to festival, listening to all our local talent.

Today, a bar near me had an outdoor concert with some blue grass musicians that I really wanted to go to, but wouldn't you know, it was during the time I had to be at the school dropping off my daughter.  I went by afterward, but it was all over by then.  cry
