Hey JD, remember our trip to Wrigley many, many years ago?

Have you gone back since?

I'm watching the game tongiht, it's on ESPN in high definition.  They're showing waveland avenue and stuff and I'm sitting here wondering what the hell is wrong with us! 

Why didn't we walk around the outside of the park?  See more of the ol' ballpark?

We were such dweebs.  We parked, went to our seats, watched the game, went back to the car and left.

Now I gotta go back hmm.gif

yes I went back to see The Police there last summer!smile.gif I tell ya riggs, mark my words, that upper deck is gonna clapse....when people were stamping their feet I swear the thing was swaying in a bad bad way.....no.gif

weren't we worried about running late that day, or, getting caught up in the rush hour traffic home? yea tho. I remember we got in, we got out, and bam away we went.

We were probably also worried about bein' mugged biggrin.gif

I remember just thinking how compacted everything was.  It felt like you were trying to fit 40,000 people into a park intended for 20,000.  Obviously the seats were fine, but the concourse was just a mass of bodies with only inches between them, if that!

I still got a picture one of us took of Harry Carey leaning out of his press box while singing TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLPARK smile.gif

that was awesome!!!!
I remember walking through that concourse, and for a minute there looking up thinking it seems just like it would have in like the 1920s. it was that old and creepy looking. smile.gif

I think I got them tics for opening up a new bank account or from a credit card bonus thing or something....smile.gif
