Somebodys Watching Me!

Wow.  I'm shocked.  I find something the ACLU is doing to be cool and interesting.  If this were last week I'd be SURE the end of the world was gonna end on Saturday!

They're doing something called the camera-head project to kind of dramatize the point of how intrusive camera's everywhere really are.  Some of the photo's are oddly disturbing.

What's creepier? The camera head or the fact that there are cameras EVERYWHERE???

Big brother is always watching us, and the Homeland Security Act has made it easier than ever for them to do so.  hmmcry

I am a BB fan, but only the TV show.

That is kind of creepy, however, sometimes i can justify it because of the safety issues it helps.

Yeah, I'm really not turned off by cameras everywhere. I figured I'm not going to do anything wrong, and if someone else is maybe we'll catch em' quicker.

But seeing the photo's above kind of makes it seem a little more intrusive. Takes some of the technology out of it and puts more of an emotion to it. Like, "what the heck are we doing watching every move people make when they leave their house"

Has anyone seen the CSI (Miami I think, I dunno, it's the one where Gideon Emery makes a cameo [of course, that's why I watched it]) where they took cell phone pictures to recreate the room at the time of the murder? It was at some kind of dance, I think maybe prom, where a counselor was killed in the science room.

I didn't see it.

If it was Miami though I'll probably catch it in rerun.

I don't really care for the show, and Caruso's acting style really gets on my nerves, but the cinematography on that show is just amazing. I usually flip past it and wind up sticking around just because it looks so beautiful on the TV smile.gif

I was wrong, it was CSI:NY. The episode was called Admissions and was aired April 30, 2008. Gideon Emery is briefly a suspect when they catch him wearing the deceased's watch (but he has an American accent in this appearance, darnit).

At any rate, it was neat that they could recreate the entire room. I would guess that's not too out there in real life, especially at something like a prom.

Izit becuase of the way he whispers everything and always talks with his head tilted and downward?

Or the way he orders a ham sandwich at the deli with the intesity of a man making a life decision?

I liked it in NYPD Blue, but when I realized he does the same schtick in every role he lost me.

That's one I never watch.  Although I like Gary Sinise

Yeah I don't like CSI NY either, even though I like Sinise.  Miami isn't my favorite, but I can at least tolerate that one.  Heck, I'm still watching old re-runs of the original CSI every night over on Spike.  smile

riggs I just dislike everything about him.

I like Gary Sinise and I tried to give NY a try but I just didn't reel me in like Vegas does.

Or the way he's in constant slouch with his hands on his hips? I hate that!

Or is it the trying to be wry one liners with the head tilt and the intensity of a man making a life decision while standing there with his hands on his hips wearing his sunglasses?

Oh wait... that is what I personally find irritating about Carusso in absolutely EVERY show he is in.
