Hello all! Well I ended up with another headache last night but not as bad as the one the day before. I seem to be ok at the moment. My husband wonders if I have passed it to him. He now has a bad headache and his ears are plugged.

Morning all. Emily is getting sick and so am I. Not a great week for her to get sick. She starts school next Tuesday. Her tonsils are big, I hope it is not strep, but no fever yet, so I sent her to school with some cold meds. She slept the benadryl sleep last night. I LOVE benadryl If you have kids... you understand!
Overwhelming busy
Woo any better at the apartment?
MZ do you know anyone in your apartment complex that has a dog that could be walked in the morning? Are you feeling better towards the hubby?
Yeah it's been a while, hope your well, like the photo by the way, very cute, both of you.

Good Morning everyone, I was dragging tail this morning myself. I wanted to leave in time to go get gas but was trying to find something for breakfast in the house. Things are limited because the microwave is down right now. I think I coasted in on fumes. I have a lot of things to take care of before vacation next week too.

Ruby, I already know what I want to do in the mornings. First thing in the morning, I don't want to have to be nice to someone, so I'd rather not walk a neighbor's dog. I plan to go into the Y, pick a cardio machine, and just go for a half hour. I'll probably switch up machines. But at the Y, I just scan my card and walk to a machine, I don't even have to look at anyone if I don't want to.
Good morning everyone. I had a bad night; hubby has been slipping off the wagon the past couple of weeks and last night it just all came to a head; had another full-blown argument with me being the one that was really upset. I don't know why all of a sudden he's backsliding; he was doing really well. Anyway nothing got resolved last night, so this will probably carry over into later today when he gets home from work. Yippee.
Mz, glad to hear you're feeling better today!!
Ruby, sorry you and Emily aren't feeling so great. Hope you both get well soon.

Ruby- there really hasn't been any change at the apartment. No more floods but they truly didn't repair everything and we just aren't dealing with them. We haven't even been up to the clubhouse to exercise. But we have been busy. Maybe next week?

Are Y memberships outrageous there too? It's like $800.00 a year here!
It's around $300 a year here. But with my tai chi classes, I figured it up, and I'd be spending that much extra on classes if I attended as a non-member anyway.
oh man. I wish to send good vibes out to everybody!
this evening I am slated to volenteer once again at a tent for the local broadcast radio station. its at an event called River Rhythms, and the band Brother will be playing. I need to keep an eye on the weather tho. if its thunderstormy, they'll cancel.
Kinda a rough time for that radio station. One of the djs died (suicide) on August 1rst, so we're anticipating a lot of nosy questions. Well, I hope maybe at least by now that will have quieted down a bit.

Ah, Wednesday. Hump day. I think I have had enough for the week. Was extra lazy last night. Simply did the dishes, prepared some stuff for today and then sat out back with some wine. The weather was clear, the air was crisp and cool. We have had such nice weather since Friday. Headed to bed at a reasonable hour and here I am.
Work on.

Sorry for those who aren't feeling well. Ghost, I'll keep you and your husband in my prayers tonight, and hope that he finds some strength to avoid a full on backslide. You're a good woman for sticking with him through the bad times.
As for me, I FINALLY seem to get a full day of rain (first one since I got here). I'm very excited about this! I think it's the remnants of that tropical storm that hit Texas last week, working it's way here.
They said rain all day although a quick look at the radar made it seem like it may be missing us here. I'll have to look at the wider view. Hopefully it's gonna rain for the whole day.
Started off with a sprinkle of rain today. Not much at all, but it made it smell good. We have a good chance of rain tomorrow.
In part of our basement clean out and organization, I've been getting the urge to dust off my ham radio stuff and try to make time to get back on the air again. Time seems to be the hard part. There are so many things I can (and should) do every day, its tough to make time to sit and play radio.
I'm thinking that I may just try to get back in to chasing "Special Event" stations. This is where some local thing is going on and a ham there will set up a radio station and try to make contacts. Usually, if you make contact with them, they will send you a certificate with the contact info and a little something about the event. I used to do that a lot, but even quit chasing those too. The weirdest one I ever got was from a nudist camp.
This coming weekend is a big "lighthouse" weekend. Looking at the schedule, I see about 10 different stations will be operating from different light houses. That might be kind of fun to talk to a few of them.

Al-Anon Ghost.....it works. For real. I go 3 times a week.
Morning, all! My day started out with a fire drill. Seriously... had to go lurk about the parking garage for a while. At least the weather is nice today. It's going to be a short one for me today as I have a Dr's appointment this afternoon.
Sandy... so sorry that you are having to deal with that situation. I know that pain well. It's not easy living with an addict. I sincerely hope it gets better for you.
Ruby... hope you and Emily get feeling better soon!
JD... Good luck. It is a tragedy for that radio station, regardless of circumstances. Hopefully people will be decent enough to not be so nosey.
Mz... glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Woo... hope your headachelessness lasts!
Darlene... stiff neck sucks... hope that gets better!
Hi there Sparky, Ultimo, and Fuzzy! Think I got everybody.

Thanks JR, although I don't know if it's so much as I'm a good woman or a stupid one. Sometimes I wonder.
You haven't had a full day of rain since you've moved there?? Wow, that seems strange compared to our weather. Hopefully you'll get your wish and it will rain all day.....otherwise you might be stuck in a sauna.
thanks. I feel bad not only for his fam, but the people I know who work there daily. Its a small tight-knit group and something like this must really be jarring to them. We'll see how it goes.

That is always difficult. We had a similar situation recently in our company. A guy who had worked here for many years, very well respected and liked. His sister in law works in a group close to Pambo... very shocking when we learned of his death. The effects of that were felt far and wide.

I had thought well, wouldn't it be cool to get in with this station as its starting, maybe produce or dj even eventually. its just down the block from me. It would be fun. But certainly am not going to pursue it for awhile after this.
