Brewers 5, Padres 2 - Amazing how contagious pitching is. Suddenly our starters are red hot and we're on a roll. Seven in a row with our two best pitchers facing off against the NL's second worst team in a pitchers park the next two days. Odds look good for a possible sweep.
Now we're getting a strangle-hold on the Wild Card, up four over the Cards. Not much to say about this game except I hope Ryan Braun is feeling better SOON!
Red Sox 19, Rangers 17 - What a GREAT football game this was! What? It was baseball? My bad! What an EMBARASSING baseball game this was if you throw the ball for a living. HOLY CRAP! Ten runs in the first inning and you almost lose the game! I was imagining Darlene having a coronary until the eighth inning when the Red Sox came from BEHIND (yeah, again, ten run lead gone and triailing by th eighth) to win the game.
What the heck was in the players gatorade last night D? The hitters couldn't make an out if they tried! Congrats on the win though!
Phillies 4, Dodgers 3 - I'm getting a little worried about the inconsistency of the Phils. Win a few, lose a few, win a few. Now it's two straight losses. Coughing up a run in the 8'th and then a walk off in the 9'th really sucks, but it happens. Hopefully you'll rebound tonight.
I didn't stay up to watch the end, but I thought I heard that Lidge is hurt, is that true Fuzz? Is that why the 8'th & 9'th were messy?
Tampa Bay 1, Oakland 2 - One of those games where everyone could have went home after the third inning because not another run was scored after that. I call those games my "Webguy" specials. EXTRA boring.
Tampa Bay is still in good shape though with a three game lead and they're playing well. After last nights game between Boston and Texas I seriously question whether the Red Sox can really challenge for the division, and New York is definately out of it in my opinion. As long as they dont' fall apart I think the Rays win the division.

Inconsistent should be the Phillies new name. It is what they do year in and year out. I haven't stayed up to watch the games this week. This is generally what happens when they are on the West Coast. When I turned it off last night the Phils had the lead. I don't know about Lidge being hurt. I know they gave him a day off late last week. And I know I heard the next day he didn't pitch because his arm or shoulder was sore.
The lead is down to one game over either the Mets or the Marlins. To right the ship, the Phils need to go on an 8 or 10 game winning streak. Utley really has fallen apart the last two months. Burrell is stuggling the last month or so too. They all need to get their butts in gear. No division lead is going to be safe. That is why they need to burst out and put some doubt in the Marlins and Mets minds.

I HATE these west coast games. I thought I had it bad in WI with the games not starting until 9:05, but these 10:05 starts are brutal.
