Yeah, I have a friend who used to say that during weird silences in conversation. It always cracked me up.

How are you tonite Sandy? What's new?

Meh, not much. I had a really nice, relaxed weekend with lots of time just enjoying summer sun! I have a nice bottle of Sangria to enjoy tonite!

No, I got a really yummy looking Shiraz. I bought the sangria on the recommendation from one of the guys at Ray's Liquor - they know their stuff!

I don't know one type of wine from another; was never really big on wine to begin with.  Used to drink those wine coolers during the summer, but I started getting headaches from them every time I drank one, so I gave those up.  And I used to like Asti every now and then, but alas, I also stopped drinking that.

Guess I just like my grapes better as juice.  hmm

Today I was cruisin' around on Youtube and came across some lost performances by Led Zeppelin.  OMG!!! those videos were GREAT!!!  I tried to post 'em on my myspace page, but something was wrong with the coding because none of them would play and it stopped all my other music and youtube videos from working.  But if any of you Zep fans get a chance, go look 'em up on youtube.  Freakin' awesome!!!  smile

hey sandy! my buddy Turner at work borrowed me a dvd he had of rare zep performances awhile back- I was blown away! did they have one out there where they're playing a stage with like a revolving door on it? that was soo weird. I forget the venue and why the door was there, but it was just awesome! I should soo pick that dvd up!!

hey! you're leaving tomorrow for another week up at the cabin?! where is it in relation to where you live? what do you like to do up there??

riggs has a new van that he can take down by the river, is your cabin on a river?biggrin.gif

No, these were black and white videos, looked kind of like a studio performance with very few people there.  But holy cow, did they rock out!!!

The cabin is roughly 75-80 miles northwest of where I live.  It's really close to Cadillac.  We're up on Silver Lake.  Love it up there.  I do a lot of fishing, boating, swimming, hanging out with our neighbors who are from Flushing, MI.  Really relaxing atmosphere up there!!  Our lake is back in the woods, so that makes it really nice too; a whole lot better than being on a main drag like some of the bigger resort towns.  On the holidays, they have boat parades, huge potluck picnics, and teen dances for the kids at night, along with another area for the adults.  Most of the time, it's nice and quiet!!!!  smile

Yeah, we've owned the cabin for 15 years now.  Bought it just before my youngest daughter's 1st birthday.....back when we had money, haha.  I love it up there in the Fall too; it's a beautiful area when all the leaves have changed color.  We go up in the winter also, but really have to watch the weather reports before we go because we're up in the snow belt, and when it snows up there, it really snows!!!  We were snowed in a few times when some unexpected snowstorms came through.  Had to call into work and the kids' school to tell them we couldn't get out but as soon as the snow plows came through, we'd be home.

Seriously though, during the winter, we can't even get in our driveway!  We have to call a neighbor that lives up there and ask him how deep the snow is, then ask him if he'll plow the drive for us and we'll pay him when we get there.

My kids have always wanted to have Christmas up there.  So far we haven't done it, but it always sounds like a good idea, especially if they have some decent snow on the ground up there.  Maybe this year; ya never know.  smile

We were just talking about how we wished we had a cabin or a camper set up permanently on a lot to go to. We like camping just can't stand tent camping for too long.
